I have been going to JV Nails for quite some time! I will NOT be returning! I had a terrible experience today and I was NOT provided anything but an “I’m sorry!” My bill was the highest I’ve ever had and the worst job today!

I tried this salon in a pinch when my regular place didn’t have appointments available. They not only accommodated me, but did nails/pedi at the same time. I would definitely recommend for the beautiful work they did and how fast they were! On another occasion, my daughter went there and had a fainting episode. The staff were so kind and helpful in her situation.

I paid for the whole experience for pedicure and manicure and didn’t get either experience! I figured they’d make it right whenever I checked out.. didnt even get my hands cleaned before applying French tips or massage like the premium manicure states. Never again. They also cut my daughter’s skin and didn’t tell me!

I have never been treated with such disrespect or had such poor results from a nail salon. I've been getting dip for nearly a decade, and I was looking for a place closer to home. The first time I came in, the owner tried to convince me to get gel instead of dip saying it's healthier for my nails. Unfortunately this is not true for me; I need to keep my natural nails thicker, and I cannot do UV due to medication. From the moment I didn't listen to his "advice" he didn't like me. I got five mani pedis here because I really wanted to make a local place work, but it was a disaster. The tech ground down my nails too far as if prepping them for gel, so my manicures kept breaking. They would look beautiful at first, but after a day or two my nails would detach from the dip. We're talking multiple nails cracking within 10 days of the original set; I had to keep coming back for repairs (three times total). I've never had this problem anywhere else. Prior to this my manicures always lasted 3+ weeks. I tried to explain my natural nails should be left thicker to no avail. Once I brought my 101-year old father in--he usually likes to come with me. They didn't bother to buff his nails and treated him very coldly. Shocking since people typically are kind to him. He didn't want to go back. Then the next time they wouldn't do ombre without switching to gel...again the only time in five cities and eight years I've encountered this. But the worst part is, they don't run on schedule. I always make an appointment, and the last two times they weren't ready for me. I'd get there on time and then wait more than forty minutes. My tech seemed surprised to see me and didn't seem to know I had an appointment, or he would be "out" when I got there. The first time it happened I was half an hour late for a doctor's appointment even though I was clear about when I had to leave. And then the owner had a meltdown. The last time I went in, I was 20 minutes late but didn't have a chance to call and warn them. The interaction when I got there was downright nasty. Mind you I've always been appropriate with them, offered to pay for repairs, and never been rude or complained even when I was being told things that made no sense. Of course being late I was expecting some kind of delay and would have apologized, but the owner was angry before we even started talking. He glared at me, didn't say hello (as usual), and defaulted to "we'll take you in 40 minutes." What's more he said it with a tone implying I shouldn't even sit in the salon to wait. He kept pointing at the door as if I should leave when I tried to sit down. I'd had enough. Knowing it would likely be an hour and that they had no intention of actually respecting my time, I (calmly) pointed out that it seemed to make no difference when I show up, that the last two times they made me wait "40 minutes." I said I couldn't wait that long. He got upset and made a nasty facial expression--a fake, mocking smile with a head tilt that suddenly turned into a frown and an angry glare. I haven't seen someone make an expression that nasty since I was in middle school. It was extremely confrontational and aggressive. I would have left right then and there, but I was sort of shocked and in a bind, because most of my nails were broken. I sat down trying to think what to do, and he went back to his client. Before I could catch my breath he said loudly for the whole salon to hear, "She's 20 minutes late, but SHE's the victim." Wow. Wildly unprofessional. It didn't matter that I had given them half a thousand dollars of my money, or that I was consistently polite, respectful, and tipped well for four months despite all the quality issues. I guess I'm unsurprised because the owner seems annoyed a lot of the time. I've heard him complaining to clients. The techs are all very quiet, and the atmosphere is tense. He was so aggressive toward me this last time that I no longer feel safe going in there. What a relief it was to go back to my old salon.

Nice service I love my nails but they started to lift within a week. Definitely going back. My nail tech was so professional kayez was his name I’m not sure but he’s good.
