Chao Nail & Beauty | Gel X Nails | Nano Brows | Lash Extension Hybrid

I had such a lovely experience at Chao Nail and Beauty. I got a gel x manicure (chrome) and gel pedicure, and both turned out absolutely beautiful. The techs were so fun and made me feel really comfortable the whole time. They have great hospitality and attention to detail, and the space itself is clean, cozy, and relaxing. I left feeling pampered and refreshed. I’ll definitely be coming back! I came back with my mom to get gel manicures and we had another great experience.

I would just like everything off of my nails. She filed and then told me to wash my hands, and when I came back, she told me that the rest of it will come off when I wash my hands over the next few days. I told her that the gel was still cured under my fingernail to my skin and that there was still gel on my actual nail that is hardened, and I would like it off. She again then told me that it will come off when I wash my hands and that I should put oil on it. The woman was very sweet and kind, but this entire experience was just horrible. From getting sat basically an hour after my appointment was supposed to start to the first woman continuously, not listening to me and getting to a point where I left the salon with my nails worse than when I came in. For reference, I have not gotten nail polish, acrylic, gel, or anything on my nails since May of this year, so there was absolutely nothing wrong with my nails or cuticles prior to today. The photos below are how I left the salon. I was there from 3:50 to roughly 6-6:15 and my nails are so sensitive that when I wash my hands, warm water burns. I wasn’t going to write a review but got an email asking me to, I’m very disappointed.

Update: after some questionable treatment, Nuray & Alina have moved to Envy Nail Lawrenceville. My experience with Nuray was 5-stars but my review score is updated to reflect what we learned that led to their location switch. I no longer visit this location & am still happy with my services at their new location. This was a comped service, but all opinions are my own & doing my best to review as if I’d paid the full price of $115. Nuray was my nail tech and she was incredibly sweet & did a fantastic job of communicating throughout the entire service, making sure I liked everything each step of the way. My natural nails are long but quite weak, so we went with builder gel to keep them stronger. (She also explained how I’d been over filing my nails on the edges.) I do not like a nail service where I’m sitting in silence without access to my phone, so it was great that Nuray was happy to chat with me throughout! It kept me calm and relaxed the whole time. I knew I wanted tortoiseshell nails for fall with some kind of gold abstract accent - not the same on each nail. And even without a photo she was able to freehand something I loved. She was very detail oriented but still quick! My appointment was just over an hour for manicure, builder gel, & design. The salon is also very clean & they offer you tea. I was very comfortable here and will return.

I got GelX nails for the first time!❤️ I loved every step taken in making these cute nails, very quick and efficient. Kay was very patient, understood exactly what wanted and delivered fully! The salon is a very cozy and clean with a great ambiance. Looking forward fory next set of nails! 💅

Nuray did an absolutely amazing job on my nails!! They came out better than I could have imagined. She and her sister were so sweet the entire time. She paid attention to detail and made sure each nail was shaped well and designed to my liking. I felt really comfortable telling her what I liked and if I wanted something different. Best nail experience I’ve ever had! I will absolutely be back!!
