Ava Nail & Spa

Update.. I changed my review to 3 stars, I was upset but everyone makes mistakes and they were going to fix them the next day. They all seem very nice there and I should not of giving 1 star. I wish everyone there peace, love and happiness. My 8yr old daughter was so excited to go with my girlfriend and get her nails done. She against my better judgment, got gel and chrome, and the word lucky charm on them. This place I used to go to all the time (a few years back)in the summer for pedicures but last summer I went twice, once for a pedicure and once for a gel manicure which started coming off within two days. Well after my friend spent $40 (the same amount on my daughter’s nails as her own adult size nails) I look at them and realize that the words are spelled completely backwards, and switched around MRAHC YKCUL. We just got home a few hours after she’s got them done and she literally just peeled them off with in five minutes because she does not want anybody to make fun of her tomorrow at school! I did go back and say something, the woman who did not apologize told me that my daughter said they’re OK…because she’s eight and she’s looking at them upside down. She did tell me that I could come back tomorrow to get them fixed. I don’t usually write reviews, but I am very irritated right now and we will probably not be going back. My girlfriend who took her actually went there a week ago and got a gel manicure and the edges were coming off within a couple days. Five days after her appointment, she went back to make another appointment and told them. I guess their sign that says that they guarantee them for two weeks isn’t true because they charged her $40 again even though she just got the gels done last week. Sorry about my rant. I’m just really irritated right now that they charged my girlfriend $40 for my daughter’s little nails and that they charge her $40 for hers when it’s only been a week. I know my daughter is not going back there. I also know the next time she gets her nails done Sherri is not getting gel because in my opinion eight year olds are way too young for gel nails! Rant over!!

Emily is a hidden gem, the staff is kind and courteous. Yumi and Lee greet when we arrive by name and always have time for us. I am alway pleased when I leave. Emily takes her time with my nails and gets everything right every time. Lena is sweet and friendly as well as the other girls. If you want personalized detention, you have to come to the salon My cuticles are cut and oiled. My hands are massaged and heat applied to help with the softness in the skin. I am so glad this salon is close to my home or that convenience and the friendliness makes you feel right at home..

it was my first at Ava’s , and i had Emily, she was throwing my hands around, she was rough and she was messy, and i pointed to neon yellow and she gave me the wrong color, she rushed the whole thing, i was in and out in 40 mins, i have yellow all over the base of my French beds, I never had this experience before in my life! very disappointed in the nails. People next to me nails looked great! Not saying the place is bad but just wouldn’t recommend Emily

Everyone there is so friendly. They do an excellent job!! I always get gel manicure & pedicure. So happy with service I receive. Place is so clean & they decorate for each Holiday. Very nice touch!!

Very professional and took the time to shape my nails so they were perfect. Very friendly as well. Will definitely come back again!
