Embellish Salon Studio

I really wanted to give this place a shot and was back and forth about posting a review. I’m new to town and want to make it a habit to get my nails done, no acrylics just gel polish. I wanted to get my nails done before going on vacation for Memorial Day weekend. The salon was beautifully cleaned and the staff were friendly, welcoming, and bubbly. The girl who took me in (I never got her name) was how imagine like getting nails done by your best friend; we were having good and fun conversations! She was very careful with my nails considering how soft and jagged they are. She mentioned once or twice how inexperienced she was with nails but I didn’t really think anything of it because we were vibing. I’m sure they’d turn out fine! I loved the color! I was happy to have pretty nails before setting off for my vacation! However, the polish has already started chipping and peeling off not even a full 24 hours with them being done. I would have liked to gone back if I had the time to fix today before leaving town but I unfortunately don’t. 3 stars because again, I really liked the girls working there and the atmosphere, but for $50 ($60 with a tip), it wasn’t worth it.

Lillian was AMAZING! We meshed so well, she is so incredibly personable. She explained everything she was doing, asked a lot of questions about my current hair routine and made sure I was happy with everything she had done. (I haven’t had a professional haircut in almost 6 years and finally decided it was time to retire the kitchen scissors) and I was so comfortable the entire time. I got home and was so happy with my haircut that I booked another appointment with her in a few weeks for a gloss treatment. I can’t wait!!!

We love Lillian. The first time we visited Embellish. It was a wash, trim and style. My daughter wanted purple in her hair for the longest time.. Lillian had to be our go to. Thank you for being amazing.

Today was the second time I’ve seen Lillian and she is AMAZING! She is so sweet and really does everything she can to create what I am looking for. After having a baby, I feel like Lillian has made me feel beautiful again and I just can’t be more grateful for her! The salon is clean, professional, and beautiful as well! Love this place!!

I loved going to Embellish in Lock Haven but it was always quite the trek to get there. When I heard that Embellish was opening up in Williamsport, I was so excited to have the salon close by! However, that ends my excitement. I made an appointment at the Williamsport location weeks in advance, only to get a call less than 12 hours before my appointment time, stating that something had come up and my appointment was cancelled. Nothing was done to accommodate the late cancelation and to add insult to injury, Embellish's cancelation policy is "cancellations less than 24 hrs of scheduled appt time will incur a fee of 50%." Of course I understand things happen but absolutely nothing was done to accommodate me in this situation, yet they can cancel less than 24 hours with no repercussions. This is not the first time it has happened either. My best friend has had FOUR cancelations over the course of just a year going to Embellish in Williamsport. Just like me, nothing was done to accommodate for that last minute cancelations. The cancelation on me the one time was it, but it took my friend four times to finally agree to go elsewhere. We will never be back. If you do decide to go, go to the Embellish in Lock Haven as a last minute cancelation has never occurred for either of us. Edit to add in response to owner's reply: my appointment was with Victoria in December, at the Williamsport location. I only posted now because to hear that this keeps happening and has happened with different stylists to my best friend while also only at the Williamsport location is ridiculous.
