This is the first time I have to write a bad review about a nail salon. As a former nail tech for many years, I understand the job itself and never try to be a difficult client, ever. If anything I would be the easiest client that’s ever walk through your door. However, I’ve never been to a nail salon and left there feeling so upset and frustrated + my hands were completely ruined. I came in as a walk in at 1:30pm, and there was only one nail tech working, no reception. I was told by the one nail tech present to come back at 2:30, I did not make an appointment so it was no big deal. I was okay with waiting. Came back, still only one nail tech working. Was told to wait again so that they can call the boss and ask someone to come in, by 3pm the tech arrived. I requested a basic gel manicure (with gel removal prior to the manicure). Took about 35 minutes to half-way take off the old gel polish. Basically she tried removing with an e-file, not soaking (for at least 10 minutes) then removing it like you’re supposed to. She did use acetone to try removing it, but 1-2 mins on each hand isn’t long enough for the gel to come off. I’ve never seen anyone used an e-file to take off gel polish the way she did, and then used the coarse sandpaper bit to push my cuticles—the 25% natural nail bed I have (as in picture). Manicure” was slapping on cuticle softener for 5 seconds then proceeded to trim them. When asked why we’re not soaking my hands in water, she said my cuticles were “sensitive” (?!) All my nails are misshaped and were re-shaped so many times they’re down to the skin (requested square with round edges), still not even and as the pictures show the old gel polish are still there, yet she was going to paint over this. I said there’s still gel polish on my hands, and she said she can’t see it. At this point I had to ask to cash out because this girl clearly had no idea what she was doing, yet was so confident doing it. The point of doing gel polish is to avoid damaging your nail beds, yet I left with my hands completely butchered + $20 charge for my half-way removed polish and 10 fingers with rough edges. I do NOT recommend this place to anyone and would’ve left no star if that was an option.

Renovated with new management- Nail Play is unique and high quality salon. Eleven N is highly efficient and excellent in shaping and coloring your nails exactly how you want it. They use non toxic ingredients, so there is no fragrance and your nails look pretty and healthy. They also have summer specials. I will definitely come back.

I would most definitely recommend 7th street studio to anyone, I have been coming here for a couple of months almost close to a year now and I have found my spot. They had remodeled and it looks fantastic. I recommend trying it. You will appreciate it.

This salon destroyed my nails and refuses to take responsibility for it. I went and got a gel manicure and pedicure 2 weeks ago. Within 1 day, multiple nails not only had chipped polish, but the nail tech kept drilling my nails so much, even when I told her to stop, that every single nail chipped or cracked. These were my real nails that were very strong, almond shaped, and long. She literally drilled the nail bed off. I contacted them and no one responded for several days, and then finally I received a text back to return to repair. This repair should have been free, but they charged me again another $35. Then, 2 days later, my nails broke again down so far my nail beds are bleeding. Never mind the cheap polish is chipped on every nail. I contacted them for a refund and have received no response. After spending $145 for a gel mani/pedi and getting my nails ruined by this salon, I strongly recommend going elsewhere for you service. These folks are not interested in the health of your nails and simply want to upsell you to get something else to keep you coming back because your natural nails will be nubs. Stay far away if you actually care about your nails.
