the Nail Lounge by Mel

So far, I have gotten my nails done here twice and the last time I was there (Tuesday July 8) Melody had rushed back from a personal appointment to accommodate my request for an appointment. Such kindness and consideration is something I appreciate very much.The service each time I've been in was exceptional. I will continue to come back because of the lovely, friendly staff, the upfront pricing, and the quality of the service I receive. I am so happy that I have finally found my nail place! THE WORST!!! Do not go here if you need good, fast, or professional service. I booked an appointment for 9pm. She said I need a $20 deposit. Okay, fine. I get to this place at 8:58. I’m calling, texting, NO RESPONSE. She finally answers the phone at 9:30. And says “sorry I was sleep.” How unprofessional can you be? I still wait, because I really needed my nails done. I get there and there’s no retribution AT ALL. No money taken off, no nothing. And then she says I have to pay before the service. I booked for a gel manicure + pedicure. I asked for French tip. That’s an extra TEN DOLLARS. So now the total is $96 for a gel mani-pedi??! And I have to pay before the service?? ABSOLUTELY NOT. Save your time and your money and go somewhere that values your time, because Mel clearly does not. It’s a miracle her salon is still running. With the way she does business, she’s lucky to have ONE customer.

If I could give more stars I would. I took my gf here and right from the start Mel was so kind. My gf just wanted something simple. She told me she wanted a gel pedicure?? And a French tip?? She got her toes done beginning of October and it’s now November. It’s lasted over a month. It lasted so long and it’s still in perfect condition. It’s reasonably priced and the quality is the best. Infinity/10 recommend.

I've been debating on giving a low rating, but I had no choice. First, Mel is really really sweet, and she has great hours. But I was a bit put off when she charged me $87 for my nails. I had my dip soaked off (they soaked in a bowl for almost an hr when its quicker with foil, acetone, and cotton), acrylic over my OWN nails, and 2 tips added on. Then I had the most simplest "French tip". She charged me for a full set when that's not even what I got. A full set is a new set of ALL tips. I only got 2 tips and acrylic over my real nails. My appt was at 8:30, and I didn't leave until almost 11. Aside from that, it's only been 2 weeks and almost all of the acrylic on my REAL nails is lifting up from the bottom. I had to buy crazy glue just to keep them from breaking until I go get my nails done again. I really did not want to give her a bad rating, but with all of this said, I had no choice.

I’ve been coming to Mel’s for over a year now and she has been super accommodating and professional with her service. She’s sweet and funny and makes your appointment a delightful experience. I definitely recommend her services!
