I booked an appointment with my wax girl who I have been coming to for quite awhile. I had done a lot to my hair and it was just a mess. She said she could help me out but it might take a couple appointments to lift the artic fox out of my hair. She quoted me about $125. Things were going fine, she bleached and was super surprised at how well it lifted. She had a cut at 5 so an intern washed and started to brush my hair really rough, making knots but I didnt say anything bc I dont ever want to be rude. I appreciate that this is a service being provided for me. She came back from her cut, saw me flinching, and I thought she would take over with a pick. My hair was really wet still and very damaged from the bleach but she took me to her chair and just continued the same thing with the brush. I try to never cause a fuss but I couldnt help but flinch and make faces bc it was physically hurting me and not one time did she ask if I was okay or say sorry. She just kept yanking away. She would start at the very top and yank down creating more knots and just yanking more. I had so many hairs come out and so many breakages on the floor. I try really hard to take care of my hair so this really upset me. Knots were just being made and yanked. I felt like a little kid on sunday morning. All the knots were not even out when she walked away to get the dye. I tried to work through some of it carefully with my fingers and hairs were just falling out. When she came back she saw the pile and was like "noooo be gentle to it". I was SO mad. I tried to be subtle and said "I know, I prefer to not ever use a brush on my hair, especially when it is wet" and she said "ahh". But after she put the color in, she washed it out super rough and did it agaaain. She was yanking it super wet from one way to the other with a brush. Creating giant knots at the bottom and just yanking at them like there wasn't a head attached. I almost felt like she was doing it on purpose. Finally I tried to tell her that I was good because I figured at that point that dye was done and I could leave, but she said "oh no im going to dry it a little so I can see how it turned out". I was not happy. When she put the color in, she physically put it in at the top and then worked it in towards the bottom which resulted in almost nothing taking towards the bottom, which I understand, you dont know how hair is going to take. What upsets me is she was like "Im trying to decide if I want to leave it lighter in the front." She didnt reference the picture or ask me. When she went to get the dye she said she was going to look at the picture but the color is nothing like the picture I showed her. When I left she charged me $250. Literally double what she told me and not once did she tell me it would be more. I went home with a headache and was so upset bc I feel like my hair is completely damaged. She kept saying I could come in in about a week to get "the rest of the color fixed" but at this point I dont want to have more damage done to my hair. Im pretty sure the owner was there the entire time and saw me flinching and clearly in pain and didnt say a word. It sucks bc Ive had many conversations with her... she's been all up in my coochie.

I just came in to fix a hair cut mishap I did from home. I was able to walk in and quickly be serviced today. Chuck did an amazing job and I am excited I finally found a great salon locally with reasonable pricing! Look forward to coming back! Thanks Chuck!

I had an apt on saturday. It was with Mel. She was great. super fun, friendly and listened to my hair woos. She did a great job of understanding what i wanted and really took the time to make sure she had it right. I appreciated her taking such good care of my delicate hair and the color looks amazing. it looked so good that no one was able to tell even though the before/ after pictures are very obvious. I look forward to booking with her again!
