Great atmosphere. My first time at Legal Hair. I went in upset with a very recent hellish job from another salon walked out happier than ever. Maddie is an awesome stylist she took the time to check out my hair inspos and discuss the best choices for my hair and its my favorite hairstyle in all my 49 yrs. I will be returning and requesting Maddie next time.. she is top notch 👌

I got my hair trimmed and styled straightened. The girl that did my hair was so sweet and she maybe cut just a little too much off, but she did a wonderful job overall and I will be coming back. Looks just like the photos I showed her and she was very friendly. Biggest thing was.. I told her I value my length HIGHLY because my hair is extremely long, almost down to my butt, and she did a wonderful job respecting my boundary. My hair was only maybe an inch or two too short but absolutely loved it nonetheless.

Wish I had better things to say. Called Legal to see if they could fit me in for a same day root touch up. I have never been here before, so I was hoping to give them a chance because it’s closer to me than my old salon. They are able to schedule me with someone doing my touch up, and another stylist stepping in to rinse/ style because they were SUPER BUSY. I was extremely thankful and optimistic. Looking back, I wish they would’ve just told me they couldn’t fit me in today. Very positive experience at first, but quickly went sideways when I looked in the mirror after my rinse. My roots were orange. I am brunette. I was waiting for the stylist to notice because I feel very uncomfortable in these situations. She was almost half way done blow drying my hair when I finally spoke up and asked her if my roots looked right. She quickly agreed that they didn’t look right, then went to my original stylist to find a solution. New dye was mixed, applied, and I was so hopeful/ thankful that the problem was solved. I get rinsed, look in the mirror, and I see that dye has bled into my highlights, making the left side of my head look like a patchy mess. Again, I waited, HOPING for the stylist to notice so I wouldn’t have to say something again. I mentioned it, the stylist agreed that she saw it too, and went to find my original stylist again to come up with a fix. She said that she could put my highlights back in, just not today because everyone at the salon is so busy. She offered for me to come back Monday, but I work all week, then I am going to a wedding in Florida next weekend. They ended up doing a shampoo cap on my hair. The stylist was scrubbing and saying how it was already looking lighter. I was hopeful again (mistake) and went back to the chair. As I am getting blow dried, I notice that it looks exactly the same. Blotchy mess. At this point I’m on the verge of tears, absolutely overwhelmed that I’ve been here for THREE HOURS, and just wanted to get out of there since they made it clear to me that I wouldn’t be helped any further today. Went to pay, and was a little shocked that I was charged full price for my services. Can’t see how you can justify full price for a color when it still needs to be fixed. I tipped because I’m not a monster, but the whole experience was not worth what I paid. How am I the only one seeing these mistakes when a professional is staring at my scalp? Why were stylists not saying anything about issues with the process, only to immediately agree with me as soon as I spoke up? Were they content with sending me home with orange roots if I didn’t say anything? I recognize they were very busy. I was very patient and never said a single negative word while I was in there. I just wish they would’ve told me they couldn’t fit me in today. Moral of the story: if they’re busy, they have no issue sending you home with messed up hair.
