Serendipity Salon & Spa

I dropped my 16 & 17 year old daughters off at this salon this morning for their scheduled appointments. They were both supposed to get full platinum blond highlights. The one in the picture attached to this review, is 16 years old. She babysits her two younger sisters to earn money and to help me (her mother) out so that I don’t have to pay a fortune for daycare or a sitter. So she babysat and she did some little odd ball jobs around the house and saved her money for 2-3 months to get her hair done professionally, for the first time right before school starts. So she saved $120, made the appointment for 11:00am. We arrived at the salon at 11:06 am. They go inside, and they showed their stylists pictures of what they wanted, which was bleach blond full highlights, over top of their brunette hair. . They felt uncomfortable right from the beginning. The two stylists that worked on my daughter’s hair were rude, and whispering to each other, and just being very unprofessional and made the girls feel extremely uncomfortable! They left them sitting at the shampoo bowl for 45 min, and never told them why they were sitting there for the amount of time that they were there. No explanation. When they were all done, both of my kids paid $100 each and gave each stylist a $25 tip! If you look at the photo, her hair is literally 2 different colors! My poor kid is so devastated. Shes done nothing but cry since I picked her back up at 1:30! $125.00 & 2.5 bourse later, and her hair looks far worse than it did to begin with!

Love this place atmosphere is relaxed and the last time I was there for myself Rachel got my hair just how I wanted! Just recently took my daughter to get her first haircut at 2½yrs old and Rachel did the most to make her feel comfortable and it was painless!

Jennifer cut about 4 inches off my hair, I love it!! She did a great job and I will be back and recommending her to any one looking for a hairstylist. Here's before and after pics!

My son and daughter decided to donate hair to charity this summer. Rachel did an amazing job working with my 7 year old daughter on her first official hair cut and with my 10 year old son chopping more than 12” of hair for his first cut in almost 3 years. She was patient with their indecisiveness and they both love their hair cuts!

Went here on a family member's recommendation, but it's not for me. Asked for my hair to be cut to my clavicle and then shattered at the bottom (as opposed to a blunt cut). I have to wear glasses to see, and obviously take them off when I get my hair cut so I really couldn't see what was going on until the very end. What I got was hair cut to my shoulders (a few inches too short) with layers put in that I absolutely hate. I can get over cutting hair a little bit too short, but I don't think it was professional to put layers in someone's hair without even so much as asking them first, as that was a very significant change to my hair. It will take literal years for the layers in my hair to grow out long enough to have all my hair be the same length again. :(
