Vinci Nail Lounge - Italian Village Location

I went this shop for my birthday (July 26th) and the stylist ruined my nail beds. I took the nails off after a little over a month knowing how badly it was going to look underneath because during the appointment, she over filled my nails down to the skin. Here’s my original review after I complained to the owner and shop secretary: Unfortunately what should have been a much more relaxing, first time manicure experience turned very quickly into a regretful one. During my nail appointment, the nail tech, Alyssa, failed to provide a satisfactory experience for a number of reasons. The first being the shape and size of the nails I requested (medium length & almond shape). The second being after I communicated my dissatisfaction with the first set, my manicure was further mishandled when Alyssa over-filed my natural nails (down to the skin on certain areas) in an attempt to fit the correct gel-x sizing on my fingers. The third issue was a general roughness with my natural nails and lack luster finish of my manicure (glue to my skin and improper gel polish application). It was also my first manicure professionally and my birthday gift. The experience was saved by the woman who did my pedicure. She did a wonderful job and I have no notes for Jacelyn. Here’s the state of my nails currently after home removal of the extensions. You can see how intensely she filled my nails because there’s a “ring of fire” on all of them. I didn’t do the best removal job because my nails are very delicate. I left a little gel on some nails to keep them from breaking further. I’m just so annoyed and disappointed because now I have to put in extra effort to recover my nails for something I could’ve did at home. The only reason this isn’t a one star is because my pedicurist was very good.

I recently tried another place near Dublin that was just okay, but I’m so glad I found this one—it’s close to the family I nanny for! I had the pleasure of having Alyssa do my Gel X set, and this was actually my very first time trying Gel X. She took the time to explain the process and even shared info on other gel options I could try in the future. She was super sweet and did an amazing job on my nails! I also love the overall vibe here—the setup, the music, and even the drinks available. My only tiny wish is for something different on the TV—after watching a 3-month-old all day, the peaceful nature views were a little too relaxing and almost put me to sleep!

Unfortunately, my experience at this salon was disappointing. The environment lacked professionalism and efficiency, resulting in a noticeably slow service. The pricing did not match the quality provided, particularly for nail designs, which were not executed as requested. The Gel-X application was poorly done and was not flush with my nail at all. For the cost, I expected a much higher level of skill and attention to detail. I will attach the nails I received vs the inspo pic.

I was in the neighborhood and stopped by for a gel mani. Fiona is a wonderful nail tech! She took her time and my nails came out fantastic. I’ll definitely be coming back to see her!

I got gel x today, they’re super thick at the tip and the tips kinda tilt upwards on most. They’re actually starting to kinda hurt. I asked her to fix a few things like my cuticles and knotches out of the sides of the tips after filing, but I didn’t notice how thick they were until after they were done being painted so idk what happened. I also got a pedicure which was fine.
