Shawn Paul Salon

I refuse to go anywhere else now. I've gone to Shawn Paul Salon three times now I think, and I've never had a better experience with a salon before. It was a very fun environment and all the staff were super nice. My hairstylist, Jenna, is the only stylist I've ever seen where I immediately like the cut. It normally takes me a few days-a week to warm up to a new style or trim but with her I've only loved it immediately. She is so warm and considerate and really pays attention to your personal hair texture more than other stylists I've seen (and I've seen a lot). All my life I have gotten layers and various cuts to try and add some volume to my thin but insane amount of hair, and no matter the cut, I always end up chopping it because it looks so flat when it's long (from the weight, I thought). Jenna, making me aware that my hair is not pin-straight but has slight waves to it, adjusted my cut so that it worked with my hair texture, letting the individual waves flow instead of it clumping into one big wave. She also does perfect wispy bangs for my small forehead, something most stylists have told me won't work with my face. I live overseas so I can only see her twice a year, but for this past year and a bit, I've loved my hair more than I ever have. I never thought I'd have a cut that made me love my hair long. It looks wavy and stylish without any styling at all and she makes me feel so confident throughout the whole process. I would strongly recommend this salon in general as it has very good *vibes* and is a very fun environment. If you have some texture to your hair I would also definitely recommend Jenna specifically. My mom has curly hair and also loves her.

Shawn Paul Salon is not only the best salon in Cleveland Heights; it’s the best salon in Northeast Ohio! The vibe there is unbeatable. You can tell that the leadership there has put a great deal of thought into the decor and design of the salon. The employees are clearly very happy. It’s a bright and cheery place run by amazing, badass women. Jenna, my stylist, takes great care with every haircut and does the perfect classic pixie cut. She’s an absolute joy to see for my monthly haircut. I recently saw Grace for a manicure and pedicure the day before my wedding. She did an exceptional job and treated me with great kindness and care. The visit to the salon before my wedding day was such a wonderful experience. I felt like everyone with whom I interacted shared my excitement for my big day. I’m grateful to have Shawn Paul Salon as a part of my neighborhood and a part of my journey.

This salon is two minutes from my house and I wish I had discovered it sooner after I moved to town. I’ve had four gel manicures here with four different nail techs, and every single experience has been great. Love the atmosphere and Nespresso machine. Everyone is incredibly welcoming and friendly, and everyone has impeccable attention to detail. The manicure Katy did for me last weekend is an absolute work of art - I cannot stop staring at how beautiful it is!

I've been going to Vivian for about 5 years now, and I can honestly say I've never left disappointed. Over the years, I’ve made the mistake of wielding scissors or picking up the hair dye at 3 am to do my hair for it to not turn out the way I want it to. No matter how many times I haven’t learned my lesson, Vivian has never judged me for my DIY hair mishaps. Instead, she’s always been supportive and eager to help me fix whatever I’ve done wrong. She’s someone who makes you feel comfortable, cared for, and confident. I’ve left other salons in tears from being ignored on what I want or judged for doing my own hair, I will never go to another salon again! I’ve also had other stylists here who have done an excellent job.

I had my first appointment with Maggie over the weekend and they did SUCH a phenomenal job. I came in with a photo and the cut was executed so perfectly and efficiently. Maggie was awesome to work with and super easy to talk to!
