Sky Nails Salon & Spa

usually go to Athens nails yet Sky nails partnered with Athens nails about a week ago. Admittedly, when I found this out I was nervous. The previous nail technicians at Athens nails were amazing with designs! I had to wait about an hour yet that’s understandable because it’s back to school season. Mrs.Tina’s husband did the acrylic overlay and Mrs.Tina did the design. The nails are so cute and scream summer! I am very picky when it comes to nail deigns and they did a wonderful job at making sure I like my nails every step of the way. I will be coming back for the remainder of my time in Athens! My tech was Samantha. I liked this place a lot! I’ll be making another appointment for this weekend! I work in fast food full time and they’ve held up looking almost exactly the same two weeks later. The colors are beautiful and the shape is amazing! I would have loved given them 5 stars, however the only draw back is that I **hate** acrylic. I’m a gel type. They do have gel, but I’d have to soak them off every appointment because they don’t do fill in with dip like Athens Nails did for me. I used to go to Athens Nails when Bebe was in charge of it, but I went back twice after she left and both times they messed my nails up *so bad*. I didn’t want to deal with that anymore so I didn’t go back and didn’t get my nails done for about a year. I kept hearing about how amazing this place was so I gave them a try. I included photos of them first being done and one from a couple weeks later.

Update (5 stars): I gave the place another chance ...saw William for a pedicure and he did such a great job. Could understand what I wanted and I could understand him. Took good care of me. Next time I need a pedicure I will request William again! (Picture uploaded is for this review) Original (1 star): First off, I had an appointment and still had to wait at least 1/2 an hour to get in. They took all walk-ins in spite of the appointments waiting and seemed to be rushing through each service to squeeze all the business in. I put a technician request when I first made my appointment weeks ago yet got a random person who I won't name here but am surprised to see they are a "qualified" tech according to the website's appointment system. Let's just say I shouldn't have had to pay full price for this person's work. I think if I had waited for someone I preferred, I would have been waiting for over an hour. They worked so fast with the callous shaver, looking around half of the time without paying attention to what they were doing. When I woke up the next morning and the moisturizer had faded, my feet actually felt rougher than when I went in, and I also realized as soon as I started walking that they managed to shave me raw on the side of my foot. Not enough to cause bleeding, but enough to still hurt to walk four days later. I won't be returning. It's too bad because their hours are really good, and most of the staff is nice and friendly, but it's not worth it. I can't afford more than two or three pedicures a year and want something that will last and get it from somewhere that honors appointments.

Ana is very talented and sweet! as for the staff they’re amazing. My 5yr old usually comes w gets her nails done, after being here for a couple hours she started getting hungry/cranky & they offered food and a drink for her. It’s the little things that matter❤️ thank you for all being so great here!

Loved my nail tech, super sweet! Price was more than I expected but I haven’t got my nails done for over 4 years. Overall, a great experience!
