Mimosas Nail Spa- Next to Publix Robinhood

$80 - HotGel As someone that works in customer service, today was disappointing and hope this review helps people avoid a bad nail experience and money. I still tipped, which not sure if I should have. Ended up going somewhere else to get them removed. As someone that was a regular i am sad to have to write this. Maria is a nice person and friendly but unfortunately the nails I got were warped and bumpy. She was also super aggressive with the handling of my hands and she burned me twice with the nail drill which is not the first time. She's also didn't give a complimentary hand massage which i think you get one if they like you therefore client care is very inconsistent. I had originally mentioned at the front desk gelx but when I got Maria she immediately started with build gel/hot gel. I didn't like how they looked before with hot gel with her and thought I should give it another try. Maybe it was a bad day for her and honestly I have to do stop giving people the benefit of the doubt bc its expensive. I let her continue with my nails on buildergel/hotgel but she was also working on some else at the same time (Which made t her a bit scattered) Again, Maria was a nice person to talk to but service was not up to standard especially for the cost. I miss Joyce and will have to start looking for someone else as I have lost confidence in this place.

First time at Mimosas nail spa and I will say the inside is very beautiful and the staff was very friendly. (Pro) Arriving I asked if they would accommodate my 30% off discount at the counter and they gladly did. (Pro) I wanted a medi/ pedi and was immediately sat in a chair to start my treatment. Where things went left is when the lady brought out that cheese grater-looking thing for my feet I should have ran. It left my feet weeks later very tough after I spent months taking care of them.(con) Mind you I’m in my mid 20s so I have pretty good feet no need to bring out the saw ma’am. However the feet did look good(mixed feelings) As I was getting my feet done the gentleman proceeded to begin my gel set process. Mind you the only thing I wanted changed was the shape. It took him a while to finish my nails that didn’t really look like what I wanted. (Con) but they were giving cute-nude classy lady so I wasn’t that upset. (Mix feelings) Overall. They did offer a mimosas/beverage of choice, and my husband liked his manicure. The fruit flies were kind of everywhere, because of the juice I’m assuming just kind of made it annoying. I’m not sure if I’ll be back, because it’s out the way for me to drive but they are a good an establishment if you wanted great Quality for your nails and great service. I just had to be honest from my experience.

Absolutely LOVE my nails. I chose the medium gelx set and Mimi is so great and handled my nails with such care! This was first time at Mimosa Nail Spa but I will be back! Thank you again Mimi ❤️

Let me start off by saying that I never do reviews I do not like to do them but this time I just have to. This is by far the worst nail salon I have ever been to because when I got there I did tell them I wanted a pedi and SNS NAILS...when I got my Pedi the lady never asked me what kind of pedi I wanted, she never asked me what shape I wanted. She proceeded to cut down my big toenail and she started rounding them and I told her can you please make them squared and she said yes but then she left that one big toe that she cut all lopsided. She barely did any scrubbing which is what I always want when I get a pedi, she didn't even clean underneath my toenails but the worst part of all to me is that she sanded down my toenails with an e-file, I have never never gotten that done to my toenails but I let her continue.When she started painting my nails I Noticed she was leaving gaps on my toenails but I didn't say anything because at this Point I was Just Getting stressed, I did mention to her to paint a corner of one of the big toenail which she did. When it was time for my nails a guy came in and I showed him an inspo picture which that picture they have here in their reviews. He asked me so you want ombre nails and I said yes but I want tapered squared nails. He brought in a jar of acrylic and the polymer, I looked at him and said is this acrylic? because I want SNS. He said it is the same thing and it's faster for the design that you want. I said no I am allergic to acrylic that's why I want SNS he looked at me confused and so I thought it was a language misunderstanding so I kind of gestured to him that my hands get itchy when they use acrylic on me. He said it's fine I'm going to do SNS but kept the same jar that said acrylic powder on it. I didn't say anything else and he continue dipping my nails. When he added the bonding to the nails I was thinking like okay when is he going to do the ombre nails? (I have a nail tech that can do ombre with sns so I know it can be done) he said I'm going to do it later and that worried me because I know when you add the bonding to the powder it becomes hard and then you can't add any more powder on top of it but still I let him continue at this point I just wanted to get it done and get out of there. When he was done shaping them and was going to the ombre he pulled out and airbrush machine, I noticed he had a gel polish so I questioned him are you going to use gel polish because I'm also allergic to it. He looked at me for a few seconds and so I said I promise I'm not trying to be difficult I am genuinely allergic to acrylic and gel polish. He said but that's what I use to do the Ombre design and I said if gel touches my skin that's when I start to get itchy I cannot use acrylic or gel on my nails. He insisted again that he was going to water down the gel with acetone so he implied that it wasn't going to cause harm? So I looked at him not knowing what to say anymore and like I said I was already stressed out not only because they were not listening to what I was saying because I did mention several times I am allergic to these things, they were not understanding what I was saying even though I gestured and said it a thousand times but also he seemed rushed the whole time that he even cut me with the e-file. I do not like confrontation so I gave up and I was just like okay whatever go ahead. Now it's not even being 24 hours and my fingers are starting to get swollen I'm starting to feel itchy so yes this is definitely the worst nail salon I ever been to and will never come back. Please don't be like me and speak up when you know something is harmful to you do not let them use it on you because you're going to suffer just like I will suffer until I remove this damn nails. I will leave the pictures of the inspiration that I asked for and the pictures of the nails that he did to me.

Did my nails with Maryyyyyyy. My nails always come out super cutesy the service is always lovely and it’s such a beautiful clean place I love the vibe the salon gives. I love doing my nails here i totally recommend!!
