K. Rae Salon and Spa

I had a haircut today and Avery was my hair stylist. She was super nice from the start and I showed her a bunch of my hair inspirations and she was able to do it with my hair and exceeded my expectations. The salon is clean and spacious. Online appointment was easy as well. There is a pay parking space across the salon. I can definitely recommend this place.

K. Rae Salon is amazing!!! Gabby is amazing and has done my hair the past few years. I recently moved back to Rochester and unfortunately had to find a new hair salon that was closer to me. They messed up my hair so badly and I left that salon extremely upset. I immediately made a new appointment to get my hair fixed at K. Rae salon a few days later. I knew Gabby would be able to fix it but she wasn’t available so I booked with Brooke who I have never gone to before. I knew I could trust any hairdresser at K. Rae salon more than another new hairdresser closer to where I live now. Brooke is a life saver!!! She validated my feelings and took pictures of my hair and encouraged me to send them to the Rochester salon so that I could hopefully get a refund from them. I left K. Rae salon feeling SO much better and feeling like myself again. It was so worth the 1.5 hour drive back and forth! I can not thank you enough Brooke!! (The pictures included are before and after)

I am so picky when it comes to my blonde and Cecilia did not disappoint! She was so friendly and attentive and made me feel like I just sat in my lifelong friend’s chair. My blonde turned out exactly as I was envisioning, and the cut was perfect. The salon is really pretty, with a good vibe aesthetic. They offer an array of beverages, and also a variety of other services to do while you are at the salon (teeth whitening). I have happily booked my next appointment and will continue to go back!💖

Amazing salon and staff, everyone is so nice and the atmosphere is so calming and welcoming! Huge shoutout to stylist Avery for always accommodating my needs and wants , she is so personable and is amazing at what she does! Not only does she make you feel good about yourself, she educates you on how to take care of your hair after the salon which helps immensely with aftercare and maintenance!

I really wanted to love my lashes by Heather and support this artist, but the experience fell short. Within a few days, I noticed many of my natural lashes were glued together, which was quite uncomfortable. I reached out to address it and was given a partial refund after a long text thread back and forth, but the refund did not reflect the cost or the level of discomfort I experienced. I’m sharing this in hopes that the feedback helps improve future services. I’m also updating this review to address the owner’s response. I found the reply unprofessional, especially considering the pain and inconvenience caused by the poor application. My concerns were not about “demanding” more money; they were about the fact that multiple natural lashes were bonded together, which is a safety and quality issue, not a matter of personal preference. I reached out privately and respectfully before ever posting a review, hoping for understanding and accountability. Instead, the public response shifts blame and minimizes what actually happened. I’m sharing my experience so that others can make informed decisions and to hopefully prevent future clients from going through the same discomfort I did.
