Professional and pleasant establishment and staff. I especially loved my tech Hana, she did a awesome job with the cat eyes. Enjoyed the spa Mani and Pedi with rose pedals. I highly recommended and definitely will be back...

Extremely Disappointed – $75 for a Fill? I’m really upset with my experience at Expert Nails Too in Ship Bottom. I went in expecting to pay $45, which is what I booked online for a basic acrylic fill with gel polish. Instead, I was charged $75 for a fill — not even a full set. The tech used builder gel without telling me and just said “this OK?” while picking it up. I assumed it was the usual acrylic because I didn’t have builder gel on previously and he never explained there would be an upcharge. That alone was an extra $10. I also asked for chrome, and instead of applying it properly with a sponge, he rubbed it on with his latex glove, which made the chrome look streaky and dull. That was another $20 — for a service that wasn’t even applied correctly. The appointment took over an hour and a half, and he kept smacking my hand every time he wanted to move it. Totally unnecessary and uncomfortable. What makes this even worse is I normally go to Luxury Nail Bar in Manahawkin, where a full set with chrome cost me $70 just two weeks ago — and looked 10x better. I only came here because I couldn’t get in at Luxury, but now I really wish I had waited. This was honestly a huge waste of money, and I won’t be back.

Very responsive staff over the phone. The women working the front desk were on top of their stuff. I will say… my appointment was 40 mins behind but it was the first week of July on LBI. Love how they turned out.

I have been coming to Expert Nails since I was in college when they had their original salon in Galloway! Tammy has always done my nails and I’ve never left disappointed! She’s a perfectionist and really takes the time to make your nails perfect. Yesterday I got my holiday set done and I am IN LOVE! Highly recommend this nail salon! Tammy for your nails and Lee for your pedicure. The staff are so nice and super friendly! Love it here.

I’ve been coming to this salon for a few summers, but after a recent experience with my younger sister, I won’t be back and honestly, I wouldn’t recommend it. Tammy, the owner, was removing my sister’s acrylics when she found a nail fungus. Tammy’s face dropped and she seemed concerned, but when my sister asked what it was, Tammy wouldn’t say until pressed multiple times. My sister had her acrylics done at this salon just a few weeks earlier and never had any fungus before. Instead of handling it with care, Tammy quickly blamed my sister’s “bad nail beds” and kept going. When another suspicious spot showed up, Tammy said it was just a bruise and still charged her for the full service despite my sister leaving concerned and upset. I called Tammy afterward to get some answers. I kept saying, “I know we’re not doctors, but is it possible the tools weren’t properly cleaned?” Despite this, Tammy denied any responsibility and ignored when I asked if she thought it was right to charge a 23-year-old for this experience. The lack of accountability was really disappointing. I’ve also noticed some questionable sanitation practices here before—like tools only being cleaned after Tammy points it out (8/5/25 around 2pm PULL UP THE FOOTAGE) and this situation just confirmed my concerns. There are plenty of salons that take hygiene and customer care seriously. Unfortunately, this one didn’t.
