I called the salon first thing in the morning. They gave me an appointment immediately and told me to come in within an hour. I was greeted by Angie and she was so nice and friendly from the door. I got a wash l, full cut with layers and a blow out. I cut a foot off and it looks amazing. April and Brianna own the salon and they greeted me with such love and care. I’m coming back again and again! Thank you Moxie

A Hidden Gem in the Heart of the City! I recently had the pleasure of visiting Moxie and I can confidently say it was one of the best salon experiences I’ve ever had! From the moment I walked through the door, I was greeted with a warm smile and an inviting ambiance that immediately set the tone for a relaxing day. The decor is chic and modern, with a calming color palette that makes you feel right at home. I was offered a complimentary beverage, which was a lovely touch that made me feel pampered from the start. My stylist, Mustafa, who was incredibly talented and attentive. He took the time to listen to my hair concerns and preferences, offering expert recommendations that perfectly matched my style. The consultation was thorough, ensuring I felt confident in the direction we were headed. What stood out to me the most was the overall atmosphere of the salon. The staff was friendly and engaging, creating a sense of community and warmth. I even enjoyed chatting with fellow clients who were equally impressed by their services. I can’t wait for my next appointment!

This is a super conflicted review, because I do love how my hair turned out, but my appointment experience was not great, so I wanted to share some feedback. I had an appt for a haircut and base color/highlights. The first issue was that I wasn't actually sat in the stylist's chair until over half an hour after I was scheduled. I was told he was running behind, but there were only 2 stylists on the floor when I got there and neither were him, so I think he may not have actually been there when my appt was scheduled to begin. Once I sat down, my biggest concern became the cleanliness of the studio. I worked in a salon for a long time, so I know that it is possible to keep a salon clean and hygienic. At Moxie, there was excessive hair on every surface, including huge hair balls in the bathroom. This was beyond what would accumulate in one morning. It looked to me like a true clean hadn't been done in some time. Additionally, there was hair in the combs and brushes the staff was using. I didn't see anything in barbicide or santized whatsoever. Most of the hair tools were duct-taped together and there were scorch marks near some outlets, which was a little concerning. It was mostly my color service that I had issue with. I was left an extremely long time with both dye and bleach in my hair, far longer than I have been left in past occassions. It got to the point where before I even made it to the shampoo bowl, I started to feel some scalp burning. I try not to be a complainer, so I tried to just suck it up. Unbeknownst to me, they decided to do an additional part of the coloring at the sink (not just toner), so I ended up sitting for another approximately 30-45 minutes with my scalp on fire. I did try to tell the stylist several times what I was experiencing. The second occasion was when the stylist finally revealed he did not speak much English. That made a lot of sense, as the receptionist had been extremely involved in my consultation and I hadn't understood why. I have absolutely no problem working with people who speak other languages, but I felt weird that it seemed like they were trying to hide it from me. He brought over the receptionist who tried to tell me that what I was feeling was because my "pores were open" from the shampoo. Given the burning started before I went to the sink, I don't think that was it. I asked 3 times for product to be washed out of my hair because I was in pain, but i kept being told it "wasn't done." Given I thought we were only toning at the sink, I had no idea what was taking so long. I've been dying my hair for over 20 years and have never experienced any pain from color processing, but 24 hours later and my scalp is still really raw and painful. What I will say, is that the stylist crushed the haircut and blowout. He did exactly what I wanted and the color also turned out nice.

All the staff at Moxie in Clifton is amazing. You are greeted from the moment you walk in. I had Berk he was amazing. Listened to every detail I told him and my hair came out amazing I absolutely love it! I will definitely be back!!!

I just had to take a moment to rave about Moxie Salon in Clifton for the second time because they are simply that amazing! From the moment you step through the door, you’re greeted with warm smiles and a welcoming atmosphere that truly makes you feel like part of the family. Brandon, my stylist, worked his magic on my hair, and I absolutely love the results! I'm on day three now, and my hair looks just as fabulous as it did when I left the salon. It's incredible how well he understands what his clients want and how to bring their vision to life. The entire staff at Moxie Salon is not only super friendly but also incredibly skilled at what they do. It’s clear that they are passionate about making their clients feel and look their best.
