Aura Nail Bar

Went to get my nails done today, overall not a bad experience. Waited about 30 min as a walk in, showed my nail tech a picture of what I wanted (attached) vs. what I got, paid $65 + tip. Some minor things I wished were better are the air bubbles in the tips, the glitter on the index finger, and they’re slightly more narrow than I wanted. The nails aren’t perfect but still look pretty good so I give them 4 stars.

I came in for a dip with tip application. The entire dip process was done and the nails looked great! Within less than 8 hours I noticed my nails bubbling up and chipping around the tip. I then realized that gel was placed on top of my dip application. I was charged as dip and left a tip as well. Essentially 70 dollars for what should’ve been charged as gel since that’s what was used to cover the messed up job on my nails. I did not realize I was given gel on top. Once I pulled the gel layer off my dip application was clearly not done correctly or it was just a bad job and instead of correcting it, the nail tech decided to cover it with gel that’s the same color so I wouldn’t notice. I called and they said I could come back in which I was going to but the more I’ve thought about it im not. It’s such an inconvenience to have to drive 30 minutes to get them fixed, when it was clearly botched before I even left the salon. I would’ve rather been told hey this needs to redone something went wrong then drive 30 minutes back home and 8 hours later my nails look bad after spending the money and cutting time out of my day to be a customer here. What’s crazy is I told them I went to a place in Knoxville that did bad on my nails and I’d rather make the time to come to aura, and I will only be coming to Aura , well I guess I jinxed it. Not again. Really disappointing. Again., I was offered to come back in but I’d rather just soak them off and wait a while to find a different salon. ( the chalky layer is the dip that was under the gel, used to hide it) and yes it looked chalky before the gel which I thought was clear not brown!!!

This was my first visit to Aura Nail Bar. The visit was very relaxing and Kayla did a fantastic job on my French manicure. Simple, but lovely manicure and I will definitely return in the future.

Aura Nail Bar is the absolute best nail salon in Lenior City! I have been a client of Hannah’s for years now and absolutely love her. When Hannah is not available or on vacation, I have had Tiffany or Kayla do my nails and they are both fabulous. You honestly can’t go wrong with anyone there, everyone is super friendly and knows what they are doing. The environment is very welcoming and the prices are very affordable compared to others in town.

I brought my 4 year old daughter in here om her 4th birthday for a nail painting. She got so nervous and started to cry (she is nervous around strangers) they not only where patient with her but they went above and beyond to make her first nail salon appointment one she will never forget. Such wonderful people! I will bring her back here and only here. Will recommend to anyone.
