I made an appointment to get red color added. I was told they needed to do a “color correction” in other words they bleach part of my hair which not only did they leave the bleach for more than an hour but put me under a heat dryer! The damage to my hair was terrible. As the stylist was washing off the red dye and about to give me a haircut the Owner told the stylist to add an extra 4 oz. I wasn’t sure what she meant at the time as the stylist looked surprised. The girl try her hardest to camouflaged the damage she had done to my hair with over 5 products she didn’t even fully dried my hair. I came in with healthy shiny hair and left with over processed hair! I couldn’t even put my fingers through it! To top it off I was charged $245 for ruining my hair! I KNOW it’s not the stylist fault as the OWNER knows that she’s only been doing hair for a year she should’ve had her put a timer on & checked to make sure she was doing everything properly. Instead she decided to have her charge me an extra 4 oz of hair dye THAT WERE NEVER USED ON MY HAIR a total of $57 and change more! I couldn’t believe it! The receptionist is not very friendly neither were most of the employees there. The place is so clustered that if there was another client on the next station you literally had to walk all around to get back into your seat! I responded to the email they said asking how my experience was and all the owner did was NOT OWN UP TO WHAT HAPPENED!!! I had to stop at Ulta to get me some hair bonding the moment the stylist saw she was like let’s get you this to do as soon as you get home. Then I went in the next day to have a hair mask and another treatment to salvage some of my hair. I’ve spent $189 so far just to try and fix as much of the damage as possible. I’ll have to go next weekend to a hair salon to have them cut as much of the damaged hair as possible and do another treatment!!! Too bad I didn’t tell my coworkers where I had made my hair appointment because they would’ve stopped me from going. Three of my coworkers said they had the worst experience & how excessive & ridiculously over priced! All they did was bleached my hair & use one hair dye through my entire hair. I was sent home with red dye all around my face, neck and ears. I literally had to buy a product to have it all removed. I contacted the Cosmetology Licensing Department. I was told to request a refund & that they were going to look into that Salon as other people have already called & made complaints! For being in Sparta their fees are ridiculous! I’ve check prices today on salons in Onalaska & even in Madison & none of them quoted me as high!!! I’m surprised she’s still has customers as I saw a couple of ladies leave very dissatisfied with their results. AS MY COWORKERS SAID IF ANYONE EVER ASKS THEM ABOUT THIS PLACE - THEIR RESPONSE IS NOOOOO DO NOT GO THERE IT’LL BE THE BIGGEST & COSTLIEST MISTAKE EVER!!! All in all when the OWNER is telling the stylist to charge more than the amount of product she used…. Just goes to show you that either she KNOWS the client won’t be back or SHE DOES NOT CARE ABOUT the clientele at all.

I be honest I hate leaving a bad review because the other professionals in the salon have been great. I have had numerous different services, keratin Brazilian blow out, facials, waxing etc. However I wanted to do something different in my hair without damaging my natural hair. I wanted to have some white hair extensions. The contrast and everything seem good. But because of my work I am in the army I have to have my hair in a bun most of the time. When I got the extensions I had to go back and have them reposition because the bond showed when I did a pony tail or had my hair un a bun. When I got to my appointment the hairstylist was going to replaced them (Serena) where it wouldn't show but as she was removing them I saw that there was a lot of hair coming with the extension, it was also very painful when she pulled them. I was aware that this might happen do to repositioning them soon but it was my first time and by the time she was halfway done I asked if she could remove all of them. I just didn't feel comfortable having them back on and loosing so much hair again. When I told her this she gave me attitude and was very disrespectful, and she started pulling them even harder taking off chunks of the hair with her. And I told her it was very uncomfortable and she said well you want me to leave them on then. I just felt like it was ver un profesional of her to come like that and do so much damage to my hot and scalp. As I had never done this service and she was aware of it since the beginning. I cancel all my future appointments with her, but is unfortunate because all the other stuff has been so welcoming and very nice.

Cura Salon in Sparta, WI is absolutely the best of the best! From hair to nails to massages they are definitely the place to go to!!!

Love this place!! Love the energy and the professionalism. I've had appointments with Serena and she has exceeded my expectations in every way whenever she does her magic. Mary is also very nice and welcoming into her salon. Over all an amazing place to relax and pamper yourself! Highly recommended.
