Joja Nails

Edit (after owner response, more for people reading reviews): 1. Chipping caused by nail polish on skin not the place where I requested nail polish closer to the cuticle. 2. Color change was never mentioned as a problem, actually love the color. 3. The request made were separate things, not the same thing repeated over again. Ex. Making the star design match vs filling in nail gaps. Also as mentioned from other reviewers the owner will place all service problems onto the client and claim they’re lying but not every bad review can be a liar. I had never been to Joja Nails but always passed them on my way to other places, so I decided to try them out with two friends. When we entered we were met with a bit of an attitude by the male nail tech there. While we did come early (only like 20 mins), we made sure to mention we could leave and come back but he told us that it was fine. My friends’ nails turned out great, the techs who worked on them did an excellent job. Unfortunately, my experience wasn’t the same. I had booked a gel “Pamper Me” manicure with nail art after seeing designs advertised on their website, but when I sat down, it felt like no one knew about the booking. When I showed the nail design photo, I was told it would be an additional $25 nail art charge, which is fine but felt as if it was made up on the spot. I had to ask for fixes to my nails multiple times during the manicure. I had to even ask for the design to match on each hand! My cuticles are uneven in some areas and the top coat was done haphazardly, leading to some getting stuck on my thumb skin causing my nail to chip when it eventually started to lift. I even had to ask for the sides of my nails to be filled in evenly on each side, as some sides had huge gaps. While some of the adjustments were made, they seemed to be done so begrudgingly. From what I’ve seen in other reviews, Joja seems to specialize in acrylics, but for anything else, it might be best to keep it simple (just a color, which my friends both got). Overall, the experience was just okay. With the amount of times I had to speak up and the lackluster effort on the design, the service just didn’t match the price or quality expectations. I am new to the nail world. This would be my 3rd time getting my nails done ever in my life. The first two times I got my nails done, they were at two other nail locations (different companies). I got gel manicures with nail extensions. They left my nails cracked and most of them started falling off just after a week. They also never placed the base of my nail very close to my cuticle, so it also made it look like I needed a fill in after just a week. I told my sister about my dissatisfaction with my nails and she mentioned gel x. The two previous salons I went to didn’t offer it (and I didn’t want to go back to them anyway) and I remembered Joja Nails, which I pass often when I am at work on lunch break. I found they did gel x and decided to try them. Soooo glad I did. Jackie did my nails and let me know how thin my nail bed was. My natural nails were messed up and I appreciate that she let me know. She is very skilled and I am now loving gel x and the results. I feel soooo cute. I will always go here going forward. The salon is super cute and everyone is very nice. I was about to give up on manicures before I came here.

While working out of town, I unexpectedly had some free time and decided to get a mani/pedi. I found this salon online, and based on the great reviews, I decided to try it as a walk-in. I was pleasantly surprised that they worked me in immediately without the usual walk-in wait! The service was meticulous—they truly took their time and did a fabulous job. An added bonus was Killian's fantastic energy and vibe! I will absolutely be returning here when I'm back in the area. Highly recommend!

Joja’s atmosphere is unmatched and Jade crushes my nails every single time! The designs are always flawless and creative, and every set turns out a 10/10. I get compliments constantly and honestly wouldn’t trust anyone else with my nails!

I came to Joja nails with only reference pictures and Kilian and Ivey took care of me so well! Kilian was able to do the design exactly like the photos and they have great care with lgbtq clients.
