Tips and Toes by Phillip In Fondren

It’s been several years since I’ve gotten my toes done at a nail salon because it just wasn’t in my budget. My mom got me a gift card for Christmas to the place that she goes to and it was ok, but I was disappointed in how messy the edges were. A few of my colleagues go to Tips & Toes by Philip so I figured I would give it a try next now that I can afford it. I am SO incredibly excited to call this my new go to nail salon! Beautiful space, friendly staff, chill music, and Jon did an amazing, gorgeous job on my pedicure! The foot massage made me stop reading my book because it was so incredibly relaxing. I will definitely be going back again and again! Update 09/04: I made the mistake of going to a different nail salon recently and was disappointed with the service and outcome. I’m back at Tips & Toes by Philip and am so excited! Jon spends SO MUCH time on cuticle care and is SO PRECISE. HIGHLY RECOMMEND this nail salon! Again!

nails came off after a week, but the staff is very friendly. My nails started to lift after one week exactly one week after my man guy did my nails and I paid $80 for them, but staff is friendly. I just don’t think they are good quality could use better skills because my shape was not consistent on all 10 fingers. I went back after a week to show them the to jon (idk his name)THE lifting after said my nails will not lift just for a nail to pop off one day after day fix the lifting do not recommend this place better places in Jackson. There NAILS do not last two weeks for the price I went yesterday on October 2 for them to correct it in a nail STILL popped off today, October 3

Second time getting my nails done here. I never have been to the same nail salon twice before because I don’t get my nails done often. I came back early for Valentine’s Day nails and they did a fill in and educated me on nails because I have no clue. I thought I would have to get them completely redone and spend more money, but they saved me money! Although all the staff is super friendly, Chloe is super sweet, talented, and made me feel comfortable throughout whole experience. I will never go to another nail salon and I highly suggest!!! Update: Chloe left the shop and I’ve seen Daisy several times now! She is just as amazing, sweet, and talented! She has done every nail perfect and I will continue to only see her! She also gave me a little happy! Go see her for some super duper cute nails!!😁

After calling around to a few shops to see who could accommodate my young daughter and I Phillip answered and assured me he and his team could handle our business. I then scheduled an appointment for my daughter (2.5) and I. I was very specific and added the services I wanted even added in the notes added a reminder that I'd be having my daughter with me. The day came and we were both incredibly excited. It had been nearly 18m since my last nail day and my daughters first ever! To say we were beyond excited is an understatement! To teach my young daughter about self care and how we treat people respectfully who are helping us! She's on the shy end so seeing her excited was huge. We watched YouTube videos and talked for days about what the experience would be like! I was thrilled but her enthusiasm to participate. When we walked in Phillip welcomed us by name. It was lovely. He asked if she (my daughter) was going to do her nails I said yes if she allows it. Phillip then mentioned choosing a color. This was something we had talked days about so she knew she already wanted a purple. The women working my daughter came over right away and befriended her. She was incredible! She helped us pick out a color and then swept her off to a chair leaving NO time for my daughter to doubt this experience. The stylist worked diligently, patiently and kindly on my daughter and at one point asked for my phone to take a photo of us together. This was something that didn't cross my mind because I was so mesmerized by my daughters willingness to participate. She was thoroughly enjoying herself and I was over the moon. I had selected the Golden pedicure. I showed the women the picture of what I wanted and her and the women working on my daughter tried to decide on a color. The pedicure was an okay service but the paint on my toes was thick and my legs were terribly oily from the treatment, it stained my black leggings. The pedicure took about an hour and at this point my daughters toes and one hand were completed. We then moved to the chairs to do our hands. I again show the women the photo and then she starts to pull out the supplies and I bring up that I wanted tips with the dip. She then informed me that this wasn't something she could do and had to get someone else and she appeared upset saying something along the lines of she came in specifically for this. The women treating my daughter said she was shown the reservation and didn't see any of that. So for a moment I thought maybe I was mistaken but I also was NOT going to take money from anyone she was very nice and kind and if I didn't make a mistake then this fell on management NOT the employee! It took an additional two hours. My daughter was so tired and hungry and we had more stores to go to. I've never been in a nail salon for 3 hours maybe 2 but never 3 and I always get a fancy pedicure, I'm treating myself right!? Well we get to the end and the dip is so thick, wide, and fingers aren't rounded correctly and tips of nails don't match in shape. My hands felt heavy and when I was ready for the design I showed her again and she said something like it was complicated let's see if she could find a sticker. At this point I'm not arguing anything. I was tired my daughter was tired and we just wanted out. The sticker on my right hand didn't lay correctly so there's a bump on my nail, annoying. At this point, I still have oil all over my legs I go wash my hands and take the oil off myself. We go to pay and it's $265, with tip $312. I was slightly shocked. Philip offered a discount at our next service but we're at 10 days from service and my nails are chipping, crumbling and some nails are thinner than others causing pain. I'm at quite a loss as in the past dip lasts me 3 weeks. I'm quite upset that this wasn't as glorious as I had imagined after driving an hour and 45 to get there and then spend $312 to be this unhappy with my nails. I've had to paint the broken ones with clear to hopefully hold them together because they are so badly torn up. Pics included.

Absolutely Wonderful Pedicure Experience! I had such a relaxing and refreshing time at Tips & Toes! From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere was calm, clean, and welcoming. The staff was friendly, professional, and made me feel completely at ease. My pedicure was done with such care and attention to detail — the massage, exfoliation, and polish were all perfect. I left feeling pampered, polished, and ready to show off my toes! 💅🏽✨ If you're looking for a place that combines great service with a peaceful vibe, Tips & Toes is it. Highly recommend and will definitely be back!
