Angel Nails by J&L

I just recently had surgery and went in for a pedicure as my feet were really crusty and I needed professional help with removing the skin. I made it clear walking in that I needed my feet scrubbed because they were not in great shape. I walked out with my feet in the same condition walking in so it was disappointing to pay $40 when I was clear on what I wanted. I tipped because staff was nice, even when I bumped 2 nails she put another coat on, and felt that was the right thing to do by them but I regret it now looking at the paint you can see through because it needed another coat for sure. ISO : a place to get a good scrubbing pedicure.

Half and half good and bad. I Went to Angel Nails on Tuesday, August 19th with my cousin. I got gel nails and my cousin got acrylic nails. The older man who did my nails did a very inconsiderate job. He obviously didn’t do half of his job, I went to Jolly Nails in Detroit and just got regular nail polish and yet Jolly Nails still did a better job than Angel Nails. He didn’t cut my cuticles or push them back, and he didn’t shape them very well at all. Parts of my nails were pointy and other parts were round. It took him only about 10 minutes to do all of my nails. I was very sad and bummed about my nails. But my cousin got acrylic nails and they looked gorgeous! A lady did her nails which I can definitely see why she got better results than me. Women tend to have more patience and persistence than men. So if I anyone is planning on going to Angel Nails in the Cadillac Meijer, don’t have the older man do your nails. I was so excited now I am not and I will be fixing these myself.

Came in to get gelx nails. The gel wasn’t cured long enough and when she started putting the gel polish it started shriveling up the gel under that wasn’t cured properly. She thought the matte top coat would help but it didn’t. We had to remove the polish but she never fixed the base so 5 days later my nail just broke off because it was soft. I came in to fix it and instead of fixing she put just a fake plastic nail on with glue. Not even a week later and 2 more of my nails have broken off. Save your money!! Go somewhere else.

Loved how my nails looked, for the 4 days they stayed on. Had to pay for a full set to fix the nails, FOUR DAYS after I paid for the full set to be done in the first place. Now the new set is snapping in half ONE DAY LATER and I have to pay to get it fixed. Really frustrated.

I'm heading out for vacation and wanted my nails done before going, and I don't have a "go-to" place for this, until now. Lynn did a great job and gave attention to details. I showed her a pic of what I would like done and she matched it exact. Service is amazing and cost is fair to the level of services. I now have a place I trust so I can treat myself more often. I highly recommend.
