Nail Spa

I am not someone who leaves reviews- especially negative ones- but after my last experience here I felt especially inclined. I have been going to the nail spa for years. Over the last year I’ve noticed quality and hygiene practices severely declining. The last 3 pedicures I have received I have gotten injury done to my nails via either a drill or a clipper that made me bleed and were extremely painful. I continued to return hoping it was just a one off experience and to give them the benefit of the doubt because they’re always very kind. Today, my nail was drilled completely in half on my left foot. The technician continued the entire appointment with blood from this incident cross contaminating nearly every tool used for the pedicure. She actually damaged two separate nails causing bleeding during this encounter today. Zero amount of cleaning or sanitizing happened in any fashion. I let one of owners know what had happened, and she said “yeah.” So, for anyone who decides to be a client of The Nail Spa of Alpena I highly advise you to be weary of infection control issues, bodily fluid contamination and probable trauma done to your nails.

Nail Spa has done my nails off and on for years! They always do an AMAZING job! Today I went in with a difficult inspo pic, he took the picture and propped it making sure he got the details right for me! I cant say enough about good things about them! 12/10 recommend!

Went to the nail spa for the first time for my birthday for French tip gel manicure & pedicure with gel manicure. The atmosphere really felt like a spa! The massage chair got out some tough knots in my back, and the massage service of the feet & calf with Scrub was impeccable as well as the nail work. Thank you for your great service!❤️

Took me in late, did both mani and pedi well after closing time. I appreciate their commitment. My mother comes to visit from California in the summertime and she now gets her nails done here before going back because she says the service & quality here is better than LA area.

This was the first time I went to get my pedicure at this Nail salon. The water in the foot bath was cold. The Nail Tech touched the water and told her colleagues that water was not getting warm. The boss lady came to me and lied that the heater in the entire shop was spoiled! And I can cancel the Pedicure if I want! Very rude. I still continued as my feet was in the cold water. Once it was finished, The Nail Tech soaked a towel from a sink and wiped my feet with the warm towel! How is the water in the sink was hot? Then I realised that its my foot bath that is spoiled and not the entire heater in the shop but the owner, simply lied!!! While the nail tech was good, the service from the shop was very disappointing. I'll never go back there again.
