MiniLuxe Wellesley

This was a experience. I went with my friend who had acrylics on. For 10 dollars to remove, she had her nails ripped off with cuticle cutters. When tears where in her eyes and she said could we use a nail file or something else. She replied just talk to your friend and look away. This was after she told me to be quiet and stop talking. I don’t know how you remove nails in the states but I would appreciate to not rip the nail and use a drill then acetone. She was very quick which meant that the shapping was crooked and I had to ask her to re shape some of them. Futuremore, the nails were different sizes but I didn’t ask for that to get changed as the shortest one was too short. Finally, she forgot a top coat on my nails. This was all for 70 dollars for me then 80 dollars for my friend with the removal. On a lighter note, the design(after convincing her to do it on more than one nail) was good and the colour is pretty. There is potential in this nail salon if they took more time and care. I would love to come back and they redo my nails and actually give me medium almond and make up for the bad experience.

Sage is the best!! I've been going to Sage to get my brows tinted and waxed for months and I have honestly never liked the way my brows look as much as when she does them. I always trust that she will do them perfectly. She is also the sweetest and super personable. I really recommend that anyone that goes in tries to book with her :))

Very clean. Check-in was very pleasant and stylist was very helpful with color choice. I like the option of having a mani and pedi at the same time to save time, however the system is not not working well. This is the second time I've been and had to "climb over" the pedicure tub because it's broken and cannot be moved, which is tricky sitting down and harder getting up. The stylists are very nice - but they spent most of the time chatting with each other rather than talking to me. (No, I wasn't on my phone). Because I have automatic payment, I am now "checked out" before the service is complete, so any tips or gift cards must be presented at the beginning. I'm sure this is efficient, but not customer friendly. I used to love coming here, but the experience just isn't the same as it used to be. Still the cleanest place around, though.

I have been a customer of Miniluxe for many, many years. I have never had such a horrible experience as the one I had this past week. First I will say I had a pedicure with Ann and it truly was the best pedicure I’ve ever had. She is fantastic. After my pedicure I went to the desk to pay for my service. I paid for my pedicure in cash and left a gratuity for Ann in cash as well. I then went about my day. They send receipts through emails so I figured I’d get one later on when I checked my emails. Soon thereafter, I got a notification that my credit card that they keep on file was charged. That’s when I realized I never did get a receipt for my cash payment. I have been trying to get this charge reversed all week. I left a voicemail, text message and spoke with the woman who received my cash payment. The manager who they said is “DJ” has not called me back because they said she is on break. The receptionist finally told me they will not reverse the charge. I am APPALLED that they have received a cash payment in addition to a credit card payment that I did not authorize and refuse to refund me. I will NEVER be back to any Miniluxe location ever again.

MiniLuxe - Wellesley has the best nail techs I’ve ever encountered. They are all good but Ann is exceptional with her strong attention to detail. I highly recommend this salon for hygienic manicures and pedicures.
