Y Nails

‘Little Girl’ did my nails and she did fantastic! I got a simple gel manicure that costed $53 in total and got some of the best treatment yet. The environment was lovely :)

Sharon and her ladies are top notch. They treat all customers as friends. The atmosphere is relaxed and perfect for small town. It feels like Truvy's in Steel Magnolias. Update 2/13/23: I love this salon. Valerie does a fabulous job on my nails!!! She always makes them beautiful!

I don’t usually write reviews about a customer service experience but felt that I had to. I went to this salon for services yesterday and expected to be treated professionally and with respect as you should with any new customer. My experience with the other two technicians Mimi and the other name I don’t recall was great until I had the great misfortune to have a manicure done by a dragon lady named Sharon. She was not friendly or kind in any way and was very confrontational towards me and did not make me feel welcome at all instead I felt that I was more a hindrance then a customer. I was going to commend her on my experience with the other two technicians but instead she was angry and making assumptions that because I asked several questions( being new to the salon and the Bastrop area)that I was going to make a complaint and her manner was straight up nasty! I was writing the names of the technicians that served me on a piece of paper so I would remember them for the next time but instead she kept ranting and told me to go ahead and report her. Never before have I ever had any person treat me in such a callous and disrespectful manner so as she did. I will never forgot it and I will say this to be BEWARE of this person. She obviously has no idea how to treat a customer and should learn better etiquette on the principles of professional business conduct. The next time you treat a customer in this way again Sharon ask yourself first if this is the way you would want to be treated if the shoe was on the other foot!! And the answer would be a NO!

One of my friends treated me to a pedicure as a birthday gift. I added a full gel manicure set. My friend has gone to Y Nails for a long time. I live in Round Rock so it was a bit of a drive to get my nails done and have dinner. The salon does not smell like acetone or nail polish like other salons do. It is well lit, welcoming, clean, and comfortable. The staff was cheerful yet professional in their greetings and demeanor throughout the appointment. Regular customers were greeted by name. The work is high quality which explained how busy they were. Both nail technicians listened to my concerns and were gentle with sensitive areas. Not once did I feel as though we were being rushed. The level of care with callous removal, toenail shaping to prevent ingrown nails, and the excellent lower leg massage were all a delight. My manicure complements my toenails in shape and color. There was not a direct gel polish match to my toe color so a lighter color was applied in layers until it looked similar. Though I initially stated this was a one-time service, I’m certain I will be back. The pricing for the services I received was reasonable. I’m so pleased I had this experience.

Everyone is nice and welcoming! There is fun, happiness in the air and they know their regulars by name. You walk in and it’s like family. I’m always happy with my nails too!
