The Vavoom Room, Color and Extension Salon

I had an amazing experience for my 1st time here! I have extremely thin hair and lost a lot during my pregnancy/ post partum. I had tape ins put in and made a huge difference in the thickness of my hair! Carolyn did my hair and I give her a 10/10! She was amazing and worked with my schedule to get me in!❤️

Carolyn took my black asian hair to very light blonde in one foil, with a gorgeous balayage. Very reasonable prices, and love the shampoo and conditioner I got! She got me in for a consultation and also a test strand, to make sure my color lifted evenly. Her air touch balayage is incredible; you can see how beautifully it blended on my dark hair. Carolyn takes pride in her work: when my hair didn’t lift evenly in some places and was discolored at the roots, she made sure to get me in another appointment asap to blend out the color with a root smudge (looks sooooo much nicer!!). She isn’t afraid to admit mistakes and will make sure you are satisfied with her work. If you are looking to go dark to blonde, I would recommend Carolyn in a heartbeat.

I really wanted to like this place as I had saved it before moving to KS as they seemed to know their stuff based on pictures. I came in with a specific cut to get rid of the dead blonde hair but still within length. I'm sorry to write this review as there is no saving my hair now. Before the shampoo she commented "I think I went a bit shorter". I had a picture and also when I got home and I can't stop laughing because I told her I had curly/wavy hair so drying natural obviously it's going to be shorter than this blow out. However, when I truly examined it...one side is longer than the other with my middle part. I did like her talkative nature as I get anxiety but I kept telling myself to go to a salon to chop off of my hair. I honestly wished I stuck to my gut. Now I look like I am going to yell at people who don't take my expired coupons. Once my hair goes to its natural state, I will be telling people how to create Happy Little trees as I will look like Bob Ross.

Lauryn has been cutting my hair for a couple years now and I am always SO happy with the result! She always gives me exactly what I was envisioning :) I can't recommend her enough!!

Haylee is the best! She does my hair, manicures, and pedicures. She is very much a professional and a perfectionist, she always takes the time to listen to what I want and does not rush through the service. The salon has a great atmosphere and I always leave with a big smile!
