The Spa at West Glen

I met with Carol today for a Consultation. I had originally met with Kylea for a Tox treatment a few weeks ago. Not only was Kylea absolutely amazing, full of knowledge and walked me through the different options available for toxins on the market. Kylea then chatted with me about my skincare goals and introduced me to the Visia Real Skin Age machine! This little GIANT was able to pinpoint what areas I needed to focus on, as I age to meet my skincare goals. Following that appointment, Kylea got me set up with Carol for my next steps! Not only was Carol incredibly knowledgeable, she had photos of HERSELF with each available option she presented me with. From microneedling to chemical peels and laser treatments, she had examples and step by step before and afters. Not only did I feel comfortable with her experience beforehand, after meeting with her, I now know that my FACE is in safe hands with the ladies at The Spa at West Glen! I look forward to posting a follow up review following my next appointment with Carol! Ms. Kylea, I will be seeing you in the New Year for a follow up Tox appointment!

My initial appointment was with PA Katie. She was amazing! She demonstrated professionalism and offered advice and guidance for my skin care needs. Throughout the entire appointment, I did not feel rushed or unheard, and she addressed all of my issues. I would highly recommend Katie and the thoughtful front office staff!

I would not have written this review but the spa sent me a request to do so. I went in today for a facial. I’ve been sad and stressed over my brother passing away and wanted a break before the funeral. The spa had requested I come in a little early to discuss my needs as a new customer. Instead I was lead into a room and photos of my face were taken to show areas of concerns. I’m 62 and have no illusions that I look younger. The analysis of my shin highlighted a frightening amount of red spots, brown spots, roughness and wrinkles overlaid on a half dozen corpse like pictures of me. The lovely computer pointed out that I appeared to be two years older than my age. When I asked about the point of all this, the esthetician shared that these images are problems that are under the skin and will impact me as I age. That’s why I can’t see all the issues when I look in the mirror, she added. Yes, I’m aging. I wear sunscreen and regularly visit a dermatologist to continue aging in the healthiest way possible. Why on earth would you want to set someone up to be humiliated right before a “relaxing” facial. I was told the doctors were having everyone do it. I’m guessing it’s a gateway to offering procedures to escape from certain doom. Instead, I paid almost $200 for a facial that made me cry. No escape plan was shared. I guess I’m a lost cause. The esthetician did try to help by going through with the facial. In fairness, I should have left. Relaxation was not going to happen. Maybe this is just a place for those with tougher skin?

The team at The Spa at West Glen are so amazing! They are thoughtful, knowledgeable and professional. I know what I want to ‘fix’ but they know what the best products and services will meet my desired goals. Michelle, Katie and Dr. Heidi are fabulous to work with. I highly recommend going to The Spa at West Glen for your needs.
