California Nails

I really loved my experience here! Tina and John were very sweet and accomodating. I have actually never been to a nail salon before and they made me feel very pampered, like I was a queen! Very nice work, I will definitely be returning. I have to let my friends know too!

ABSOLUTELY DISAPPOINTED. I'm new to town and came to check this place out as I need a new salon. I came a day before my wedding. I showed an image of what I wanted done, and we agreed on colors, etc. I expressed how important this was because I was going to be taking wedding photos. They were very busy and I could tell this was a rush job. After I was done, I went to get my feet done, and as I was looking at my nails in disappointment, I was so upset but didn't like to complain. I went ahead and did tell the lady doing my feet if she could fix a couple of my nails. (The guy did my nails) Some of the gel wasn't paint all the way. Some nail filing wasn't done. rough edges and lumpy nails. She didn't do much of a difference as they were busy. I left so angry. I spent $108, which is for my nails, pedicure, and eyebrow wax. I took these pics the next day after my wedding. Not even 48 hours. Bubbles and crack in my nails, chipping, filling not all the way covering the nail, you name it! They were closed that Sunday, and that following Monday, they were closed due to the ice storm. That Monday, a nail broke and didn't even hurt. just broke off! I've been getting my nails done for over 25 years and know what it feels like when breaking a nail and the pain. I was so angry! That Tuesday I went in! I went straight to the guy and showed him my nails. You will never believe what he told me. He said the nail that was missing filling was because my nail grew 🤣 the broken nail he said he wasn't going to fix and I would have to pay for that. I said I WILL NOT pay. He went ahead and did it as he knew I wasn't playing. He fixed that nail and put In filling to fix the other nail, and I told him to take my chipped white nails off and leave them with no paint as I would paint them myself. It has been a week now, and most of my nails have broken. I was better off having my 7 year old doing my nails. Would NOT recommend this place. Needless to say, hand photos for my wedding weren't done. Thanks, california nails

I made a pedicure appointment a week in advance for 5:15 p.m. and even called on the day of to say I’d arrive by 5:20 at the latest. I was told if I wasn't there by 5:15, my appointment would be canceled due to their 6 p.m. closing time. The tone felt rigid, with “we close at 6” repeated several times, even though I was communicating clearly and respectfully. What’s most disappointing is that in the past, I’ve walked in without an appointment and had no issue being taken. The sudden shift in flexibility, especially with an appointment made in advance, felt really disheartening. I’ve had positive experiences here before, but this made me reconsider how reliable the service actually is.

I went years without getting my nails done because of personal anxiety, but my husband got me a gift card to California Nails, so I decided to treat myself back in May. I jam so glad I did! I just got back from my second appointment with John, and my nails look fabulous! I've gotten several compliments just since I've been out this afternoon. Also, John is very friendly and seems genuinely interested in his clients & making sure they are happy with their service. My family swims a lot in both salt and fresh water during the Summer, and the gel polish never chipped or faded while we were out. Also, their prices are very reasonable. I plan to begin visiting regularly and recommend this place to anyone looking for a nail salon!

I went here to treat myself and I regret doing so!! The staff were all lovely and friendly and I can’t fault them on that. However their skill of doing acrylic nails and art is not great. I asked for a design and they couldn’t do the pattern or the shape of the nail. I’m honestly gutted they turned out like that and won’t be returning.
