Nails & Spa on Main

I’ve been having my nails done by Kathy and her amazing staff for over 24 years! I always bring my wedding parties here to be pampered before their big day. and I bring my expectant mama here for their “pre-push pedicure”!!!! We have all been blessed by the extra special attention and care of the Nails and Spa team. Today Lucy glammed my nails to perfect for a special event this weekend. I couldn’t be happier!

I had the absolute most magnificent experience at Nails and Spa on Main. The atmosphere was gorgeous and I was greeted with a smile by Kathy Le the manager. Kathy offered me a glass of water, juice, coke, or wine. I felt so pampered! Ellen did my full ombre set and it is absolutely beautiful. She is definitely my new nail tech now! She was able to do a black and red ombre which most technicians cannot do. Vivian did the "bomb" pedicure which was the most luxurious pedicure that I have ever had. Outstanding experience. I will definitely make Nails and Spa on Main my new place.

This was my first time here. I got my nails done by Alex and she was fantastic. She took her time and kept making sure I was happy with them. The salon itself is beautiful and clean. I’ll definitely be coming back.

I go in to get a regular manicure and to get my gel X nails removed. She starts by basically ripping off my gel X nails she does not soak them at all. She just ripped them off. She didn’t get two of my gel X nails off so they are still currently on my nail. Then she gives me the ticket and it says gel manicure and I said to her I did not ask for a gel manicure I wanted a regular manicure. She then says well you picked a gel color and I said I didn’t know the front desk lady handed me the color wheel and I picked a color and it did not say gel on it anywhere. Then she points to the wall with a gel colors and said that’s where you got it from and I said no the lady picked it up from this table, pointing to it and said here’s a regular colors pick a color. And all the lady could say was sorry. And looking at the pictures of the nails, she missed spots and the fact that my gel X nails are still on and I had to pay $20 to get them so-called removed. Will never go back again. Left in tears.

I came hear for a full set & pedicure. I set an appointment a week ago. I came because I’m going on vacation & wanted to try somewhere new with good reviews. I usually never get my nails done but wanted to do something nice for myself. My pedicure was great! I throughly enjoyed the $80 bath bomb pedicure, it was relaxing but my French tip wasn’t really what I’m use to. It’s thick & doesn’t go down the corners/sides of my toenail. Kinda lazily done but I didn’t want to complain. I noticed some strange looks from some of the people working there, but I assumed it was in my head. I waited about 15 minutes to start my full set. I was patient & the manager was very kind checking in on me & bringing me water. When I finally started my nails I told Hannah or “Hang” the design I wanted. Short, square French tip. As we began she told me that the reason I was waiting was because “no one wanted to do my nails because I have tattoos all over & that they assumed I was going to get crazy long nails with lots of designs” & so amongst each other they were going back & forth who would do MY nails because they assumed off my APPEARANCE that I wanted something “ridiculous”. Now, that’s maybe not verbatim what was said but that IS what she was saying. I tried to brush it off but it was extremely rude. Once my nails were finished I wasn’t happy. Hannah cut one of my fingers & she left fuzz under my nails & cured them with the fuzz under. I wanted her to fix it & she said her eyes are bad & she couldn’t see what I was talking about. At this point I was ready to go. She had already complained about the design I wanted saying my nails were too short for that design. Which is extremely ironic. So I said that it was funny they assumed I wanted long nails & now she was complaining that I didn’t want long to go with the French tip style. She started to apologize & blame her broken English for how I understood but I knew what she said. They saw a black woman with neck & arm tattoos & they thought I was gonna be rude & want ridiculous long nails. Crazy. I left with my nails sloppily done & an okay pedicure. I paid $200 & I’m not happy with my results. I didn’t want to pay or even tip AT ALL. But I just wanted to leave after being made to feel so uncomfortable. No discount was offered but the manager was kind since I had walked in. She apologized for the nail tech’s behavior. & again blame the language barrier but Hannah spoke English very well & I understood what she said she just back peddled when she saw that it offended me. It is NOT okay for people working at a place like a salon to be making unkind assumptions about people based on their appearance. This salon is beautiful & clean & I liked the pedicure. But I will not be back.
