Olivia & Oliver Nail Lounge (at Brentwood)

My first experience in Olivia and Oliver was pretty sweet.Of course, we didn't know how to register on the kiosk, at first we weren't getting too much assistance, then, when she noticed we needed help, it arrived. The service was pleasant and the guy did an ok job on my feet after me asking him to make one correction, which he did without issues. When I arrived home i noticed that he had made a couple other mistakes that my daughter repaired for me. Otherwise this place is beautiful on the inside. I also like the way all the workers have on nice little uniforms. I would definitely recommend 👌 ps they service myself and a friend. We got simple pedicures and our bill wasn't a $100. With our tip we paid $115. They do offer several other special services other than a regular pedicure.

I asked Vivian for navy and white winter nails and she absolutely delivered!! This is a Gel-X fill that start to finish took just over an hour. I’ve been going to this salon since they opened this location and every stylist comes through on requests. The salon is always clean, they don’t pressure you to upgrade a service, and they verify as they go that what they’re doing is what you want. I can’t wait to see what Vivian comes up with for my Christmas nails!

I’ve been on the hunt for a good nail salon since moving to STL. This place is nice and clean, but very transactional. I could see it being good for groups from that perspective. I’ve been a few times now and the woman who did my dip nails a few days ago only applied one coat. When I mentioned it, she dismissed my concern and told me not to worry. I got a gel cat-eye top coat and two days later the gel started peeling off…plus two of my nails broke because one coat of dip isn’t strong enough to protect them. I mean, the whole point of getting dip is to keep the length of your natural nail. If the price matched the quality, I wouldn’t bother leaving a review, but it’s relatively expensive. My friend got multiple coats of dip, but her nails came out looking like big bubbles (they didn’t buff them down enough). She tried saying something to her tech, and he got frustrated with her — didn’t fix it. We both walked out feeling like it just wasn’t worth it. To be fair to them, I didn’t have time to go back to have them fix it before traveling but will likely go somewhere else to get my nails redone.

Awful experience. Rushed check in and decision on which service I wanted. Upsold me to get gel and their deluxe manicure when I came for a basic polish manicure. First manicurist ditched me for a different customer when I took more than 1 minute to decide on the color. Second manicurist absolutely murdered my cuticles, drawing blood on both hands. The cherry on top is that the gel chipped less than 24 hours later and my nails are red and painful. Small detail but I came with a bridal party and they didn’t sit us near each other even though there was plenty of room to do so. Now I have to get my nails redone before the wedding since they chipped. All around terrible customer service.

I visited the salon on Thursday 9/18 for a simple builder gel manicure service. I made my appointment shortly before leaving my apartment, and while it was last minute I don’t feel like the service I received and the final outcome reflected the price I paid for the service. when I arrived at the salon, I was taken back about 5 to 10 minutes behind the start of my appointment and sat in a chair, and then bounced around between four different manicurists before my service was finished. I received builder gel on my natural nails, and my natural nails were filed down very thinly, and had a thick layer of builder gel applied, which caused pain when the UV lamp was turned on to cure it. The heat reaction that builder gel creates can be avoided through not filing the nails down as much, and not applying as thick of a layer. Because of the thickness of the layer applied, it wasn’t able to properly adhere to my natural nails, which has led to chipping, cracking, and some parts downright falling off less than two weeks after receiving a service. Furthermore, I felt like the manicurists kept pushing me to get tips put on my nails, even though I said no multiple times. I will not be returning. Edited 12/19: I visited the salon again on this past Tuesday to get a gel manicure as I was in the area. While I was taken back without a wait this time, and the service was OK, my nails are bumpy and now chipping, not even three days later. Additionally, when I was in the salon, multiple staff members were seen sleeping in pedicure chairs, and one of the staff members was very loud loudly, singing karaoke in the backroom which made it hard to relax. I would appreciate a refund for my service.
