2025-12-11This was my first time at the studio and with Billie Rae and I’m in love. Billie Rae talked me through every step, helping me find something that works for me, and I left with a haircut that has me feeling amazing about my hair!!! I also got to meet Em, her co worker, and she was the sweetest!! My haircut and style was very reasonably priced, and will be coming back to her!

2025-12-06I decided to try this salon after hearing it was considered the second-best in Decatur. I’m not from the area and was on a tight schedule, so I went in hopeful. My consultation was actually very thorough, which gave me confidence. Unfortunately, the actual appointment was a completely different experience. First, they moved locations and never informed me, so I ended up late through no fault of my own. When I finally arrived, the stylist didn’t even remember what service she had booked for me and had to ask what we were doing. It then took another 30 minutes before I was even seated and she got started. She asked if I was comfortable having a student help with my hair. I was hesitant, but I agreed because I assumed the student would be working closely under her supervision, and I understand students need real experience. Instead, the stylist spent about 15 minutes with me and then left the student to do almost the entire service alone while she worked on another client in a completely different room. I was extremely anxious about how my hair would turn out, as this was absolutely not what I was told to expect. Thankfully, the student went above and beyond to reassure me, and my hair did turn out good. It wasn’t exactly what we discussed or what I originally wanted, but it wasn’t too far off, and I genuinely appreciated the student’s effort. However, the reality is that the only things the stylist I paid for actually did were seating me, washing out my dye, and cutting my hair. The student handled everything else. I was very upset that the stylist wasn’t upfront about double-booking herself and essentially neglecting my service. I paid over $500 expecting work done by a top-level stylist, not to be placed in a room with a student performing the majority of the service and not to leave without the exact result we agreed upon. All of that was frustrating enough, but what truly prompted me to write this review was the environment itself. A salon should be a safe, comfortable place where women can feel good about themselves. I understand that salon culture can sometimes include casual conversation or gossip, but what I witnessed was completely different. The stylist and others openly made fun of a client the moment she walked out the door right in front of other clients. It was disrespectful, unprofessional, and honestly disgusting behavior. It made me feel uncomfortable and confirmed that this is not a place I’d ever return to. Needless to say, I won’t be back.

2025-10-02This was my first time at Capelli’s and I will definitely be returning. Myia was kind, knowledgeable and gave me exactly the color I envisioned. I’ve always been blonde so this was a BIG change for me, and she killed it! Thank you

2025-05-01I wanna start by saying I’m not upset with the salon, it’s a beautiful salon and the stylist was a great person. Where my bad review comes in at is that I came for a barber cut. I’ve never been to this salon and when I started talking about the cut I wanted the stylist stated I’m not very familiar with these cuts or the fade you’re talking about. Now I. Know I’m at a hair salon but I’m a masculine presenting women and I wasn’t very comfortable going to a barber shop in a new town with no real personal recommendations to go by. So I do understand this places specializes in feminine haircuts. What I was going for was a burst fade with almost a modern mullet. Very common modern haircut for men. Now I was coming from long hair undercut aka man bun. So I knew I wasn’t gonna get exactly what I wanted but atleast I wanted the start to the shape of the haircut. The fact in the beginning the stylist stated they weren’t familiar with I’m assuming modern fades, I wish she would’ve said she wasn’t comfortable because I’m not a very confrontational person I didn’t share with her my thoughts after the fact. But I do want to state to anyone man or women if your looking for a masculine haircut I wouldn’t go here. The fade isn’t done well at all, I definitely do not have a burst fade and infact no modern mullet either I knew I had to go short. But I wanted the shaping to start so I can start transitioning to that hairstyle. I infact got a very high fade with a textured fringe that isn’t even properly sectioned or atleast suitable to how my hair lays. The one side of my head is longer then the other making my hair very strangely lean to one side. I know there’s fault on my end for not speaking up and I don’t think at all the stylist is a bad stylist I just really wish this was shared with me that she or another didn’t feel comfortable with a haircut like this. I wouldn’t have settled. I wouldn’t have been mad. Photos for reference what I asked and I agreed it’d have to be shorter, and then photos of what I got. There was another masculine presenting female there that I also believe got a fade and was also very oddly sectioned with not a really smooth transition. Again this is a salon not a barber shop. Was my mistake there just please let your clients know if your not comfortable with something. Again this isn’t a bad review on the salon or the stylist, I most likely won’t be coming back but I will be sending my fiancé here lol

2025-12-10Billie Rae did my son’s hair yesterday and did an amazing job. She walked him through what he need to do with wanting to grow his hair out and what to try. She is the best
