Luxo Nail Spa Avondale

I brought my 15 yr old cousin and her friend here to get nails done for their birthday, and the outcome was great! It's been two weeks and my cousin's Hawaiian/Miami style nails are still looking fresh :) I've included photos of the nails done by Irina and Ana. The cost was for GelX nails, plus design fee which depended on the intricacy of the nails requested, and of course tip. While the girls got their nails done, I got a spa pedicure from Amber who was very sweet and gave me a great massage. The prices here are on the higher side, but are appropriate for the service and skills that come with. I recommend texting them a photo of the nails you want so that you can get a quote before booking.

Wonderful! Tony is amazing! I had gotten a set yesterday from my usual spot and it turned out terrible (before & after pic below). I called Luxo, and they accommodated me last minute. Walking in, everyone was so kind and offered me a drink while waiting. I showed Tony my nails, and he reassured me that he’d fix them and I’d walk out much happier. He was very flexible with my requests. I was being picky and word salad-y, and he was very patient in formulating my thoughts into a cohesive design. Had my first visit at Luxo Nails in Avondale and Ana did an absolutely amazing job! She did a Russian manicure and really took her time with excellent attention to detail. The cuticle work was perfection - I have shorter nails and she has the knowledge and skill to make them still look fantastic. The salon itself was clean with a welcoming atmosphere. Jasmine at the front desk made me feel so greeted and warm from the moment I arrived. Everyone was friendly and they have great beverage options. I also appreciated the extra security - you have to be buzzed in at the door, which shows they take protecting their clients and employees seriously. The location is convenient with great parking too. I’ll definitely be back and highly recommend Ana if you’re looking for quality nail care with meticulous attention to detail!

Amber was very hospitable and did great work on my nails. She was very friendly and gave good suggestions. The spa is very cool, they offer you a slushy or any other refrigerated drinks. I also did my full face wax and it was good, a few very small spots got missed but then I also didn’t see it til I was in a warmer light setting. Overall was very gentle with the work. They gave us a freebie bag on account of coming in the day after Halloween so that was definitely very sweet of the owner to do for customers!

Update to old review: I am thrilled to say that upon visiting Luxo for a second time, I had a 5 star experience. Shay reached out to me via text and did an excellent job of diagnosing what went wrong the last time and setting me up with a tech who could fix it. That tech was Eric, who left me with absolutely flawless nails, with expert nail bed structuring and polish application. It’s great to see that Luxo is a salon both committed to allowing newer techs to get experience while also still ensuring that every customer is 100% satisfied with their service. I’m really happy because this is my neighborhood spot and now I will absolutely be returning, specifically to work with Eric!!!! Thanks so much Shay for being kind and also extremely helpful.
