My absolute favorite place to go for hair care! (and they do nails!) All the women who work there are so friendly and supportive, and check in with all their clients. It’s a very cozy homey atmosphere, and I’ve never had my hair done better at any other salon in my life 😊 Caitlin is a master at color application, and she is my go-to person for any hair-related questions or style needs! They can also order products for you in-house to pick it if you really like what they use!

I was a regular; I’ve been going to this place for many months, and every time it was a positive experience. Unfortunately, and with sudden surprise, my stylist dropped me as a client. Like I had an appointment made and then I get a text that it was cancelled and that I should find a new stylist. This was heartbreaking. I truly cared for my go-to stylist and I felt like I was cared for. I believe we were at least well acquainted. The only explanation I got as to why I should find a new stylist was because my appointments caused anxiety and apparently I made [this stylist] feel disrespected and undervalued? I did ask for clarification (because I want to improve) and I did not get a response. I find this whole thing to be quite bizarre. I tipped when I could, even referred my friends, and truthfully I only recall having appropriate and normal conversations. I believe I respected boundaries. I cannot see how my appointments were even anxiety inducing except maybe me being a little picky with my hair here and there. I suspect that The Cut Above, and especially some stylists that work here, just want an all female clientele. Overall, and in hindsight, I find this place to be hit or miss. It’s messy, feels kind of claustrophobic, and they have no main point of service system for appointments/payments. Being able to text your professional stylist for an appointment seems convenient at first but later feels…off bc I feel like I’m being intrusive or something - I’d much rather make an appointment online or via a phone call to a receptionist that is there all the time. Also, stylists who are in the middle of working on someone’s hair shouldn’t have to stop to answer the phone. Very disappointing how this all turned out.

A fantastic hair salon. They have great prices and are very kind. I have gone here many times and keep coming back because of their exceptional service. Come here and you wont regret it at all. UPDATE: Its still phenomenal. We go to Angie each time. She's really great and has been for years. Definitely try them out if you haven't yet.

The woman doing my haircut was very nice and accommodating but she had no idea what she was doing. A simple bob haircut, and taking off an inch took an hour and 30 minutes. The entire time she was asking me if it was even, and that she couldn't tell if it was uneven despite the fact it was comically lopsided. By the end my hair was completely messed up and I had to go get it fixed elsewhere. So I wouldn't recommend going here.
