Montage Kapalua Bay

We really loved this place! The rooms were wonderful, the valet parking was super convenient, and they pay attention to details (warm greeting with leis, welcome banana bread and flowers in the room, slippers, they kept track of all the various promotions going on, etc). The rooms were really spacious and the view from our balcony/room was just perfect. We were able to enjoy a few sunsets while chilling out on our balcony. The staff at the concierge were also super helpful! Cane and Canoe was really wonderful too. We actually tend to avoid resort food/restaurants because they often disappoint when compared to local food. We were very glad we tried it though. It was one of the best dinners we had on the island. We really enjoyed breakfast as well. The spa was also top notch. I got the peace within treatment (it was everything I hoped it would be) and then a regular deep tissue (also great). They pay so much attention to every little detail during these massages and it makes a huge difference. They were also really good about making sure none of their products would be an issue for my allergies. The rest of the spa (hydro room, sauna and women's pool) were also really lovely. My biggest regret from the trip was not spending more time there! I also appreciated that the spa pools were very clean. One small issue I did have was that for one of my massages, I showed up 45 mins early in hopes of spending some time in the women's spa area, but check in took so long that day that I didn't have any time to spend enjoying the spa first... If I had to make a couple suggestions it would be to update the bathrooms a little bit. While they were very nice, ours could have really used a jetted tub! The other suggestion would be to make spa check in easier, especially if you've already been once and had the orientation/walk through. Maybe a little pass to show you've got access? Overall, I loved it!

Every staff member, from valet to front desk to pool attendants, genuinely seems to care about your comfort. They remember your name, your drink order, even your favorite spot by the pool. Nothing ever feels rushed or transactional — it’s thoughtful, relaxed, and effortlessly elegant. Speaking of the pool area, it’s one of the best on Maui. Multi-tiered infinity pools, private cabanas, and incredible ocean views — you could spend the whole day here and never want to leave. The restaurant, Cane & Canoe, offers some of the best island-inspired cuisine on Maui, and the cocktails from the bar are exceptional. For anyone visiting Maui who wants a truly peaceful, luxurious, and authentic Hawaiian experience, The Montage at Kapalua Bay is in a league of its own. Everything about the Montage was special. From the moment you check in you’re treated with such care. Everyone is so friendly and accommodating. We stayed in a 3 bedroom residence and were absolutely wowed at how wonderful the room and views were. The pool seems endless and the views just keep getting better. We would stay again in a heartbeat.

Not staying here but just had dinner at C and C. Wow. Incredible food and service. Outstanding. The ocean views and overall Hawaiian vibe are unbeatable on Maui. 5 stars. Highly recommend! 🏄‍♀️ 🌊 🏄‍♂️

This is a fabulous resort in a great part of Maui. So sunny all the time! The rooms were great & the cleaning service was outstanding. Daily service & great night time turn down! They were all so kind. We had the best service in main restaurant from Mathew at breakfast! He is on point 100%. You will not wait for a thing when he is taking care of you. Very funny guy too! Jeremy was our waiter/bartender for dinner. He was lovely. He made fabulous drinks & gave us exceptional service all while taking care of 4/5 other bar tables. Never seemed out of pocket. Erick by the pool is the best. He was on it everyday we were there with him! Great conversations & always buzzing around making sure our needs were met but also very discreet. The only snags & why I didn’t give 5 stars were older woman in gift shop was not pleasant at all. Then went to spa to look for clothing for a cold hike we had coming up, they were chatting when we walked in & did not stop after we left with no purchases. We went into town & got everything we needed by the happy people at Lulu Lemon. The property is gorgeous & the Timbers Resorts do a fabulous job of taking care of their resorts & hiring the right people for the job. This trip was a tad different. But there is a great beach & many walking trails. Plenty to do!
