I went here today and unfortunately didn’t have a great experience. The lady who did my pedicure was super sweet and did a really nice job. It was also a nice touch that they offered me a drink. However, the lady who did my full set manicure was rushing the entire time. She made my pointer nail crooked. I mentioned that it looked off, but she didn’t put much effort into fixing it and just told me to relax my hand so she could do her job. I don’t get my nails done often, so the speed and the way everything was handled gave me a lot of anxiety. Honestly, I just wanted to leave. I also picked one color for both my pedicure and manicure. They used the correct shade on my toes, but when they did my nails, the color was completely different. I didn’t notice until I stepped outside and saw it in the light—it looked peach while my pedicure was nude. When I went back inside, they said it had something to do with the manufacturer and that I should have checked to make sure it matched. They did help me pick another shade and redo it, but now that I’m home and really looking at my nails, I’m disappointed. The manicure looks sloppy, my nail is still crooked, and I have to go to a wedding like this…

Velvet Nail Bar Oviedo is truly one of the best in town! The salon is always super clean, and their pedicure—especially with the reflexology—is honestly unmatched. The customer service is wonderful; the team is attentive, caring, and always willing to fix anything if it's not exactly how you want it. They genuinely want to make sure you’re happy with your service before you check out. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for quality, comfort, and beautiful results! I did a walk in today for a fill+ repair along with a pedicure. John did my nails and he was amazing. He even fixed the wide square I had and made them skinny squares!! If you know you know! Phil did my pedicure and he was hands down the best. He gave me the best massage! I absolutely recommend this place and these 2! John let me know they call him Dr Phil. The best experience I’ve had in a while!

I’ve been to this branch of velvet several times now. I always have great service and attentive staff! I got a beautiful red cat eye this round and it turned out amazing! For pedicures or manicures you can’t go wrong here. They always have employees ready to service you and go above and beyond to make sure you’re enjoying your visit.

Sharing my experience and most honest review. I came in to get a full set done closer to the end of the day, no appointment was made in advance. I was greeted immediately and asked to sign in/check in through a touch screen tablet. The assigned nail tech for me was already waiting for me as I was completing the check in. I did not have to wait at all. He walked with me to a table somewhat by the front desk. The table had all kinds of nail polish demo colors, this is where I took the time to explain him my preferences and what I was looking to get done. It’s been 5 months since I don’t get my nails done 😅 after having my baby, I do have a long term nail tech who has done my nails for over 5 years and I love her! Nothing wrong with her; What brought me here was the Google reviews. Therefore, I am posting one! After I picked the color and explained I wanted fairly long (not very long to avoid breaking a nail), coffin shape, and somewhat thick (not too tin acrylic layer) because I type daily for work and the nails normally break easily since I have zero nail/zero support underneath. He understood, we sat down. At some point I said to my self “get ready to walk away with nails you don’t like” 😅. My nail tech was interacting with me, very calm, easy going, genuine, and even came across as not judgmental. He also interacted with coworkers around without getting distracted or losing focus. I had a glass of champagne which was complementary (maybe for being a new customer?). I was extremely impressed! I had no problem paying for it either, it was $8 per glass; very reasonable. My tech asked me during each step to ensure I’m okay with the length, shape, and colors. He even gave me the opportunity to compare two different base gel colors so I can pick the one that goes well with my tone but before I chosen the one for me, he also gave me suggestions which helps me narrow down my selection to two colors. Closer to the end of the service I felt confident that I was going to like my nails! Like “ufff”! He knows what he is doing. So, I do recommend this salon and will definitely come back. The only reason for the ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ review is because of the price I was charged for a full set which was $75 without the tip (I am a decent tipper customer!), but I believe it is a bit up there in price in comparison to my long term tech, specially if you are someone who gets their nails done 2 to 3 times a month, so this can become more like a utility bill. However, the cost is expected due to the perk of having a bar, service received, location and atmosphere. Thank you! I have not break a nail yet! 🤩
