Neo Nail Bar- Key Biscayne

I am beyond furious with the service my friend and I received at Neo Nail Bar Key Biscayne, and I will NEVER return. We came in for a simple nail removal—something I have done here multiple times before. Historically, dip + tip removal costs $10. That has never been an issue. My friend had gel, I had dip with tips. We were both seated with the same nail technician, Nancy, and from the SECOND we sat down, her attitude was disgusting. She immediately side-eyed us, looked at us with visible disgust, and treated us like an inconvenience instead of paying customers. Twenty minutes into the service, she suddenly announces it will be $20 instead of $10 because she is “removing both the tip and the dip.” No kidding WHAT exactly did she expect to remove? A tip with nothing on top? That explanation made absolutely no sense, especially when we were NEVER told this upfront. When we questioned it, she became rude and defensive instead of professional. From there, it only got worse. She mocked my nails, openly judging how they looked, and even said she “wasn’t getting paid enough to do it right.” Imagine saying that to a customer’s face. She spent more time scrolling on her phone than actually working. While our nails were soaking, she left for over 20 minutes, then had the audacity to YELL at me for briefly taking my hands out to take a phone call from my parents. Now let’s talk about the actual “service,” if you can even call it that. THE REMOVAL TOOK AN HOUR AND A HALF. For a REMOVAL. An hour and a half of soaking our ENTIRE hands in acetone (not the standard foil method), aggressively filing, and negligence. She laughed and said she would “file them for free,” as if that made up for the disaster she created. When we were finally done: • My nails were left with glue still on them • Plastic tips were STILL ATTACHED • My friend’s nail was LITERALLY BROKEN • Our cuticles were destroyed • No oil. No lotion. No care whatsoever. For $20, you’d at least expect BASIC hygiene and a drop of cuticle oil. Instead, our nails were left brittle, dry, damaged, and on the verge of breaking. My nails have never looked this disgusting in my life. To make it worse, when we calmly confronted her about the price change—especially since I have ALWAYS paid $10—she became rude and dismissive. I truly do not care about paying $20 if the service is even remotely decent, but this was shockingly unprofessional. This was hands-down the worst nail service experience I have ever had. Disrespectful, careless, slow, and humiliating. I left angry, embarrassed, and with nails in worse condition than when I walked in. Never again. Save your money, save your nails, and go literally anywhere else.

I'm spending winter in the area and was hoping this would be a great location to get semi weekly acrylic nail fills. To my disappointment, it will not be. The nail tech offering acrylic fills is very sweet but obviously doesn't provide quality service. I've worn acrylic nails for years and very, very rarely have a nail lift. My nails are constantly lifting within days of my fill, and management could care less. This explains why locals advised me to go off the island for nail services. It's really unfortunate because it's such a convenient location. The owners reply was that it's time for me to pay for an entire new set, but that is ridiculous considering the first nail to lift was completely new. As you can see from the pictures, there is minimal growth. I had my fill done the day before a cruise vacation, and they began lifting days into the trip. Had they offered a solution, I would have been open to a different type of nail service that perhaps would hold up better. The owner insisted they were not at fault. The pictures provided prove otherwise.

Maleidys is, for me, the best. Not only because of the quality and perfection of her acrylic nail work, but also because of her kindness and professionalism. She is always attentive, punctual, and delivers excellent service. Every visit is a pleasant experience, and I always leave happy with the results. Highly recommended!

This was one for the books! It looks like a kid painted my nails…. My powder dip was all over my skin and my pedicure looks like they cut my toes with steak knives. Will obviously not be going back
