I live in Miami, stumbled upon this place because I needed a manicure the day before my birthday and my original nail tech was unavailable and it was the best find. The nails and designs are flawless and i will continue to make the drive up from Miami because of the quality, detail and cleanliness of the salon. I’ve gone twice so far and have decided this is my new salon! Quality and pricing is the best! *update to my review - still going strong with this salon 4 months in and my designs get cuter every month! So much talent here.

Seriously go and look for Liz Nguyen, she’s the sweetest soul and so skilled with her nail work. This has been my go to place since I moved here from Jersey. Thank you ladies! 🩷🩷🩷🩷🩷

I’ve been going here for a few months now and Jade has been phenomenal. Went to someone else and had a less than stellar experience and I am so thankful for the team to fix my nails, stay late to fix and ensure I left happy. Lina, Amanda and Liz were so amazing!! Looking forward to my next appointment.

There was a time when I was absolutely loyal to Lina because of how beautifully she did my nails. I even continued to brag about her work for over 11 years, from the time I moved from Georgia back to South Florida. She was once my favorite nail tech—but sadly, people change. During my last visit, Lina made some incredibly inappropriate and offensive remarks, including saying she doesn't like servicing Black women and that she prefers working with "snow bunnies" (her words). She also spoke very negatively about her own family—her sister, brother-in-law, and even her parents—complaining that they gave her and her sister "crumbs" when they closed their salon. What truly crossed the line was that Lina purposely cut me during the appointment. This wasn't the first time either. She never apologized or made any effort to correct it. I came to realize this was a pattern—she admitted that when she doesn’t like a client, she intentionally does things to discourage them from returning. Extremely unprofessional, hurtful, and disappointing. I never imagined I’d have to warn others about someone I once respected so much, but I hope this review helps others make informed choices. 15–20% is standard. So on an $80 service, that’s $12–$16. For $100, it’s $15–$20. If you tip under $40 don’t go.

I had an amazing experience at Sugar Coat Nail Lab. From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere was clean, calm, and welcoming. The staff was incredibly friendly and professional, and they took great care to ensure I was comfortable the entire time. My nail tech Lina is meticulous and truly an artist. I have been going to Lina for well over 20 years and her kindness and authenticity has remained the same. The couple of times that I may not have been satisfied, she has accommodated without any issues. Sugar Coat offers a great selection of services, and everything is very hygienic and high-quality.
