The Nail Corner

This was my first time here and I was very impressed! The salon is super clean and very welcoming. Kevin did my nails exactly the way I wanted, and he was so professional, patient, talented, and friendly. I also had a pedicure with Jack, who was just as great. He even brought fruits to enjoy and gave me the best leg massage it was incredibly relaxing. I’m so glad I discovered this place and I highly recommend it!

kEvan was amazing. He was quick professional and very skilled. The location is perfect so much. Parking and the salon itself is beautiful and it was so.cozy And holiday ready with all of the Christmas decor. The pricing was also very reasonable 10 out of 10 would recommend.

This review isn't as much about the final outcome of the design, as much as it is about my overall experience yesterday during my second visit to The Nail Corner in Woodbridge, VA. Jack was my pedicurist. He did an amazing job. He was kind, careful, and attentive. His workmanship on my toes were enough for me to consider replacing my tech of the past 2 years! He left some rough spots and calluses on my feet but was phenomenal otherwise. Jack gets 4.5 stars from me! Kimmie, was my nail technician and designer. She is very skilled in her work. In both our sessions she appeared to be a little messy with her technique; leaving glue and nail polish on my skin. At one point, yesterday, our fingers got glued together! During my inaugural visit, Kimmie, told me that she can duplicate pretty much any design. She is two for two for me, so I don't doubt it. Where it fell apart this visit is the way Kimmie treated me. How badly she made me feel during our scheduled appointment. First, the workers at the salon seem to really like each other. They have an ease and comradic cadence to working together. That's probably good for them as well as the clients. Kimmie, certainly fit this mold. She, her husband Kevin and their workers shared funny quips, jokes throughout my entire visit. And while I didn't understand their dialect, as they were speaking in another language, their laughter and smiles made it clear they were enjoying their communication together. Adversely, at times when Kimmie addressed me, she seemed irritated, annoyed, short patienced and exasperated. There was no "small talk" between us. Only short bursts of profunctionary interactions to discuss my design choices, desired nail length and shape or my request for her professional insights/advice on my design. At one point Kimmie stated that she didn't want to give me her advice because I might not like it when she does the design and waste her time. Let that sink in. The gel builder Kimmie recommended we use burned my finger tips when placed under the UV lamp. This was my first experience with this system. Not only didn't Kimmie warn me burning could happen, she barely acknowledged me when I continually reacted to the pain. That really communicated that Kimmie could not care less about me as her client. You know when someone's energy about you is off. Yesterday, Kimmie, was really sideways with me and it felt yuck. Add that to a $220 charge and you get the picture. Mind you, I've brought both my daughters to The Nail Corner. For an average $80-$120 a piece for each of them in addition to $125-$150 for me every two weeks...Would you do it? I don't think so. Would I recommend The Nail Corner to anyone based off yesterday's experience? No. Bottom line, while The Nail Corner may be better than the average local nail shops, and there are great aspects of this business, their customer focus could definitely improve. After this experience would I go again...maybe. Will they be my "IT" spot? No, they will not. Years from now, I may not remember what they did and did not do but I will always remember how poorly Kimmie made me feel during this visit. And That's the Tea.

I came in last week and got a gel x fill. Kevin is the one who did my nails! He did such an amazing job! Unfortunately I work with my hands and had an accident where I broke 2 of my nails. I came today in to see if the store could fit me in to fix them. Kevin came in on his day off! It was pretty busy so they probably also just needed the help! But he came and fixed them perfectly! Then he wouldn’t charge me a dime! He recommended to switch to acrylic next time because they’re stronger. Amazing service all around! I will continue to be a returning customer for a while! I’ve even referred a few of my friends to come see him! Get your sets by Kevin!

Just recently moved here and needed to find a new nail tech. I found this salon through Google and it did not disappoint! The staff was so friendly, and I had the opportunity to have Kevin recreate the nail inspo I brought in. He was very attentive and made sure every detail was perfect, and he even made me a delicious Vietnamese coffee! I’m already looking forward to my next appointment with him. Highly recommend!
