I’m not the person who usually writes reviews about anything. But I’m really disappointed and feel really bad about my nails.(not good service, took long time, nails were broken in ONE DAY!!!,and etc) I’ve been getting my nails done at other shops for 7 years, but this nail shop was always hard to book an appointment with. So I was looking for a new one to keep going to for a while. The reviews for this shop looked pretty good, and it seemed like they were skilled, so I decided to try it. I texted them to ask about the price for my nail design and made a reservation after they confirmed it. I got my nails done at this shop on 10/18, Saturday, at 6pm. I was informed that because I chose a regular gel nail, my previous nails needed to be soaked off. One technician filed my nails and soaked them in alcohol. But after that, she said just wait and disappeared. And nobody came to take care of me for the next step for about 20 minutes. That was way too long to have my nails soaking in alcohol!! it damaged my nails.! After that, I went to the front desk to ask who would help me next, and they just told me to wait. Then another technician came and started redrilling, filing, and shaping my nails for a long time. Kept filing and shaping, totally not in good skilled. When finished the filing it already passed over an hour. My nails which were originally healthy became so thin, broken, and torn that they needed to be glued. The technician who did my nails was really slow and didn’t have skilled.!!!! Even though the design was pretty simple, it took soooo long time that I had to simplify it because it was taking almost 2 hours. After everything was done, the technician kept filing and reshaping my nails again, which made me feel they were really unprofessional and unskilled. I expected better service and more professional technicians, like in Google or Yelp reviews. They even tried to overcharge me after finishing, even though I had already confirmed the price by text before visiting the shop. At the end, I didn’t over pay, but it made me mad. My nails bent so easily, and some of them already cracked and broke even it just ONE DAY PASSED (16 hours passed actually). Really unsatisfied. Feel like wasting money.

I just moved to Los Angeles and was excited to try this nail salon since it has high ratings. Unfortunately, my experience was disappointing. The first nail technician shaped my nails unevenly—one side square, the other side round. Even after I pointed it out, the result was still not good, and the cuticle work was poorly done. At this point, I felt quite upset. Luckily, Jenni noticed my concern and kindly stepped in to help reshape my nails into the square style I wanted. I really appreciate her professionalism. However, after that, another technician quickly took over for the polish. She seemed experienced, but the work felt rushed—just a few minutes for the whole application. Within two hours, the polish was already chipping, and I also noticed one nail was damaged during the shaping process. I’m updating my review after two weeks. Unfortunately, the situation turned out much worse than I originally thought. – During the shaping, one technician filed too aggressively, leaving visible dents and uneven surfaces on my natural nails. This kind of over-filing has never happened to me before at any salon and caused long-term damage. – The polish initially started chipping within just two hours, and now, only 14 days later, several nails have already lifted or completely fallen off. – The removal method—soaking my entire hands in acetone for 10 minutes—felt outdated, unsanitary, and extremely harsh. It left my nails weak, thin, and damaged. While I appreciate Jenni’s effort to fix my nail shape at the time, the overall service was rushed, inconsistent, and very unprofessional. This has been by far the worst nail experience I have had, and I cannot recommend this salon.

Update: owner Emma reached out and offered a re-do service! I really appreciated the outreach after my below review. I went back and took her up on her offer and left satisfied. Emma was extremely understanding and conversational regarding the my review, nails and redoing my nails. She recommended booking Holly or Leo in the future for my preferred shape, so I hope that helps someone here! Switching my review to 4 stars because of the care and outreach. Emma was extremely busy as the founder and had to handle transactions and phone calls during the service and it took 3 hours again to do my nails. Is this normal in general? I am starting to believe so. Including a photo of my new set here. Still going back to this place!! Spent THREE hours at the salon for a UV gel fill in and a regular pedicure with gel. The pedicure was a 10/10 service. The nail service, idk what the hell happened. -67/100 This is my third time going to Le Lani and asking for the same nail service. I started my natural nail journey by opting out of extensions and sticking to UV gel to grown my own nails and care for them. The last two visits went perfect until today’s visit with nail technician Thuy. I waited about 3 weeks to go in today for a UV gel fill since my last appointment and aiming to keep my nails the same LONG length and almond round shape. Upon arrival she sat me down and asked for my preferences, and entrusting in our communication, I looked away and noticed my right hand had been filed down and cut down more than half of their length with the electronic nail filer along with crooked natural nail filing. I voiced my concerns before she started on my left hand. Big mistake because now one hand had nails shorter than the other. She tried to fix the crooked nails with builder acrylic, which I appreciated, but now I am carrying not my natural nails. I showed an example of the color I wanted and shape and was never given a color book or selection to choose from. She simply said “milky white”. She left a bunch of residue of paint all over my cuticle and when she finished the builder acrylic on my ring finger, she left all the residue adhesive underneath the nail. I had to call her back from her next client to finish filing all of that builder acrylic out. I am two weeks out from my maternity due date and won’t be able to go back for about 6-8 weeks for a fill in. She kept positioning the UV lamp directly on my belly as I forced the lamp to face a vertical direction versus strictly on my 9 month pregnant belly!!!. Extremely inconsiderate and unprofessional. I sat in the pedicure for a full nail service, thinking both services would be done at the same time, which is a nice gesture, but it didn’t happen, nor did I expect it. I wasn’t sure why she didn’t just sit me in the available manicure chairs to complete the first service, since there were no pedicure technicians available. Overall pretty disappointed at this manicure service and overall lack of care to a paying customer. I did continuously voice my concerns and was met with solutions each time which allows for two stars along with the great pedicure. But won’t be going back for Thuy. Added in photos, my nails were twice the length before these new nubbins I left with lol. Good thing is nails grow back!

I recently found this new nail salon and I'm so glad I did! The owner Emma and her team was incredibly nice, welcoming, and made me feel comfortable right away. The atmosphere is very relaxing, professional, and you can tell they really care about their clients. I'll definitely be coming back!

Em is absolutely incredible. She is a gem of a human. Every appointment is such a treat, not just because I leave with flawless nails, but because the entire experience is relaxing, professional, and so much fun. She has an incredible eye for detail, endless creativity, and always make sure I leave with exactly what I wanted. Whether it's a classic set or intricate nail art, the quality is consistently top-notch and lasts longer than any nails I've had before. Clean workspace, amazing vibes, and the kindest and sweetest personality. I'm so lucky to have found Em.
