Chayil Maison Nail Salon

This nail shop is in a super convenient location in downtown LA, and I love that it’s woman-owned. The space feels pretty new — clean and simple — and it seems like they’re still building on the decor as its bare in areas or has a few cheaper looking items. The staff was really nice, professional, and patient, which I appreciated. My pedicure was enjoyable — my feet got a good soak, there were lots of scent options for the basic pedi, and the hot towels were *perfectly* warm. Where I think there’s room for improvement is in the quality of the nail work. I asked for a simple design (not pre-booked, so that’s on me), but it ended up taking longer than expected. I usually get more detailed sets done elsewhere in less time. The French tip came out a bit crooked, and there were areas where polish was missing. Unfortunately, I didn’t have time to ask for fixes because I had to head to work so I accepted it. Also, didn’t want to be mean. I’m still working on advocating for myself more in those moments, but going forward I’d recommend messaging a tech on Instagram ahead of time if you want anything beyond the basics/one color. Prices are on the higher end, so I was hoping to leave feeling fully satisfied instead of lowkey depressed. Especially since these are supposed to be my birthday trip nails. Added: five hours later. Realizing the hard gel isn’t fully on a few of my nails. Will have to get them redone/corrected tomorrow on vacation.

Danielle is an absolute acrylic and gel genius for artistic, pointy, or 3D nails. She is sweet to talk to and also the fastest nail tech I’ve ever had for the level of detail she does. The pricing is worth it. A lot of salons have varied pricing but similar level skills on hand… this place goes above and beyond. Perfect environment with tea, coffee, and snacks as well. They decorate for every holiday.

I have never been to a nail spa so personal and warm. Especially a spa where they know your name and it’s such a beautiful spacious environment. I randomly found them and have been a loyal customer ever since. I would recommend this place to anybody. Truly.

Downtown residents rejoice! We have the best nail salon in the city. Chayil Maison is the real deal. A professional salon with skilled technicians that are friendly, knowledgeable, gracious, and extremely talented. The spacious, clean, and welcoming atmosphere is just the beginning. Every treatment is relaxing and executed with perfection and care. I am so grateful to have found this LA gem.

Wow it’s taken me too long to write a review! I’m a super fan of Emily’s and have been to see her I think 4 or 5 times now. She’s a perfectionist with the cuticles, and I appreciate that so much because mine get dry and visible after a while. I don’t do anything too hip. I’m just not capable of pulling it off. But she did a modern French tip gel manicure with red on the tip and a nude base and amazing! I got complimented quite a bit. I made sure to refer them to Emily since she’s the rhyme and reason behind the sweet nails. Yesterday I went pink and she did this amazing hibiscus design. So. Cute!
