Steve's Spa

I went in with my friend to have our toes done and wanted to share about my time there. The place is clean and somewhat organized, the chairs are massaging chairs and they are wonderful. We were attended to as soon as we walked into the door. My friend had Wendy doing her pedicure, and she was taking care of her feet and legs with painstaking care! She buffed and trimmed her nails as was requested, and she walked out being relaxed and feeling well taken care of, all for $80 + a tip. My experience was actually terrible. I had the owner, Steve, doing my pedicure. I have to say that I have never been neglected so badly! He was in a rush and got out of his chair no less than 20 times, often leaving me for 5-10 minutes alone in the chair, waiting……. I had to ask several times to have my nails be trimmed so I don’t scratch myself, and he said he couldn’t do that because there was tissue under my nail. I KNOW!! You were supposed to clean around and under my nails, but you didn’t. You were supposed to take care of me for the same $80 + a tip. You should let your workers do the work and you manage the shop. You cannot do both, it’s painfully obvious to everyone there. AND, you made fun of and you were actually mad and yelling after my friend Cindy left because you had to fix her toes that were messed up by the shoes you provide. You were mad and said she should have worn the right shoes to get her nails done!! Just take care of your customers, don’t belittle them after they leave, or at times, while we’re still there. I can understand enough of your language, and I totally understand your body language. It just was uncomfortable. It was a terrible time for me and we both vowed to never go back. There are many other salons in this area, so I don’t think we’ll have any trouble finding someone that cares more. Just my humble but honest review, and also my first ever review. The pictures below show the difference between my friends’ toes that actually show the cat eye that we paid extra for. My toes are the red colored ones that don’t show any cat eye because my stylist was too busy or doesn’t know how to use the magnet to create the cat eye affect!!

Loved loved loved!! We made a late appointment and so glad they had availability. We did have to wait a bit because they were backed up, if you are on a tight schedule it’s probably a good idea to let them know that ahead of time. For us it wasn’t a bother. We enjoyed the massaging chairs while we waited. Steve and Wendy were both super friendly and attentive, offered us a beverage after seating us which was nice while we waited. It was clean!!!! I have went a long time without a pedicure because most of the places in lake county look like a staph infection waiting to happen. I love that they use all new products, individually wrapped lotions and scrubs. New sterilized tools. And the quality of their products are amazing. The massage chairs are new and strong! They recline as well so I was in heaven! I have no complaints, the only comment is go when you have time. Enjoy it! If you are in a rush it is no fun for anyone 😁 A bonus, they have a salon fur baby! His name is Theo and he is so cute! we will 100% be back with a treat for Mr. Theo!

I called ahead but was technically a walk-in. I was greeted as soon as a walked in and everyone was helpful and nice. I wanted a matte finish with a little nail art. Julie was amazing!! She listened to me, told me what she was doing, and even told me some stories about her family. I wanted to stay longer! She offered me several types of non-alcoholic and alcoholic drinks but I declined this time. I won’t the next time! The salon was clean and had a professional atmosphere. I picture on the left is from Pinterest; the picture on the right is my manicure.

Steve:) I loved my Pedi... I loved meeting your super cute dog! My gal pal and I made reservations and it took a very long time. Next time? I'll certainly make sure calling ahead means being clear we can't do one at a time for the two of us? The longest Pedi of our lives. But toes look cute:)

Michael is a very friendly nail tech. Took my mom for a pedi and I got a full set. They look beautiful 😍
