Marlowe

I went to Marlowe for the first time and it was great. I had a Big Sur pedicure with Phung and gel manicure plus an accent nail with Nguyen. They both did an amazing job! Everyone at the salon was very friendly, and I appreciated the convenience of being able to book appointments on their website. I’ll definitely be coming back.

$100 plus tip for basic mani/pedi. I used to come here when they first opened and loved the hospital grade sterilization of the tools, the friendly technicians, and the atmosphere. On this visit however, they didn’t open the tools in front of me and from my seat I could see the supply room, and it didn’t look as clean and orderly as I remembered. But what really bothered me is that neither of the technicians talked to me at all, they were busy talking to each other. I wanted them to pay attention to a couple of spots on my toenails and they basically ignored me. Afterwards I sat there waiting for my nails to dry and they didn’t come out to check on me or even say thank you or goodbye. I left a tip, but I won’t be back.

Love Marlowe!! Took my daughter here to get her nails done for graduation and they are always so sweet, clean and an enjoyable experience. She did the lemonade pedi and gel nails. THANK YOU! We'll be back....

I have visited Marlowe twice now and had a great experience both times! They've implemented new COVID protocols (temp check, questions at the door, etc.) and put in plastic partitions at the manicure stations, so I felt perfectly safe going in for both a mani and pedi. I first got the Marlowe Mani and had Aiden as my nail technician. He was really great! I'm really pleased with how my nails turned out (smooth, shiny with beautiful shaping and cuticle work!). The interior of the salon is super chic and clean. The staff were all incredibly friendly and attentive. I didn't have to wait to get started upon arrival. I also really appreciate the ethical practices of this business. A living wage is SO essential, and the quality of the service matches the price in my opinion. I got my first Marlowe Pedi today. It was divine! I had Thi as my technician. She was wonderful. She really took the time to attend to the little details. My feet were a mess before a went in since I'm a dancer: lots of dead skin and calluses. She was both gentle and thorough as she attended to the bottoms of my feet, cuticles and areas around the nails. My feet look and feel great now! She even put my flip flops back on my feet for me when it was time to check out so that I wouldn't accidentally mess up my toenails. So sweet! I'd highly recommend Marlowe if you're looking for some high quality pampering.

I was very excited to splurge on a nicer manicure and pedicure for myself and my partner at Marlowe but was ultimately disappointed. My nail tips were rough and some were unevenly shaped, and though my nail art was nice, it was not what I asked for (which was to exactly match the sample). Two hours later when I got home, I rinsed my hands and my nail art just... peeled off. And there is a lot of bare nail showing through on my toes. For what it's worth, the staff and environment were really nice, and I'm very happy this salon has worker-friendly practices. But overall I was not happy with the outcome.
