ELITE STAR NAILS & SPA

I’ve been to this salon several times, sometimes satisfied, sometimes not; but this last visit was my final. I had gotten builder gel for my nails which looked great while I had it (Q was very good) but when I went to have it removed I was charged an extra $10 on top of another service because I got regular gel and all they did to “remove it” was to keep filing it down and half of my nails still had a layer of builder on top when they were done. They then preceded to paint gel polish over top of it for a total of $47. My nails were done on a Thursday and by Sunday the gel was peeling and now my nails are destroyed from taking it off. Note to self, builder gel is NOT better for your nails as they say because they’ll still take the drummel to it when you no longer want it. Really disappointed.

This is an AMAZING salon, every manicure and pedicure that I have received since August has been perfect!!! Ivy is wonderful and has a wonderful eye for detail. I have used other technicians as well and they have also been amazing!!! Highly recommend!!

Went to get some designs (3D and charms). The lady pretty much told me that it was expensive and I can't afford it. I guess Black people don't work. I should them a pic off their website and no one could do it. The same lady tried and was horrible but she kept going after I told her that I didn't like it. She did not want to take accountability that she just didn't know how. Terrible place with terrible people. First and last time there!

this was my 4th time here. the first time i went in for a pedicure and it turned out good but i had stubbed my toe and asked her to put acrylic on the one that broke and just filed and make the rest even and square. the girl ended up cutting all my nails down shorter than i wanted but it turned out good and i didn’t say anything. my next two experiences were so good with Suki. this last time, i made an appt for 530. they didn’t sit me in a chair until 540 and no one started my nails until 6 pm. i had acrylics on and wanted them soaked off to have dip powder put on my natural nails. i did have two broken off which was going to cause them to be shorter than the rest and i was fine with that. but when they soaked off my acrylics i asked to have them trimmed and squared off and the lady who did them just took the nail clippers and cut all my nails very short and didn’t make sure they were even with my other hand. and then she started filing and kept cutting the sides of my fingers and grinding down my real nail and you can see where my real nails were before and where they were grinded down. my nails were very sore.

I went here with high expectations because of all the reviews here but it just did not meet my expectations. Maybe other nail techs are amazing but the one I was with was mid at best. I paid $70 for french nails but it looked like a beginner nail tech did them. She left a lot of acrylics underneath the nail like you can see in the picture. The french design also looks bad in person. There is like a lot of color in one spot and not enough on another spot. The lines also don’t look crisp and smooth. I recommend not getting french nails here maybe get other designs.
